  • Taking Advantage of New Players!!

    Okay, I know there was a similar thread about this not too long ago , but it is closed now and i wish to re-address this issue again.

    Please do not take advantage of new players by stealing their loot drops from the boss when helping them on the quests...I met a new player last night and he didnt even know bosses left anything other than a head , because some jag took it all and left him only the quest item.

    This is highly unfair and I encourage anyone that sees this happen,to report it...And without a doubt if I see someone doing this , there is no pleading with me.I WILL REPORT YOU!!!

      I treat a players quest loot like its theirs. If we help somone do a quest then ALL of the loot that the boss drops is theirs and I expect the same in return so dont get upset if I gank MY loot from my quest.

        Feel free to report them to me directly.
        It's important that people recognize who to be fearful of on this server, and when it comes to ninja looting, cheating, hacking, or not following the Sundren specific rules, I make a special point to make people know I am THE SCARY HEAD CHOPPER.

                  Thats my understanding on how loot should be treated for all non-repeatable quests.

                    The only time so far that I have been in a situation like that was when I was around some people in the sewers. That being my only experience I was happy to see that when my enemies were kill it was my loot and vice versa. I don't see why anyone needs to go around and gank peoples things that in my case are hard earned.

                        I'm glad everyone agrees. I also won't tolerate it, whether I see you doing it on the player client or the DM client I will smite you down. I consider ninja looting to be a KoS offence.

                          * bump *

                          I've heard rumours, and I think this should be put back up at the top of the list.

                          Don't take gems off the piles of dead bosses... and DON'T try to ask people for them until they know the value of them.

                          Helping someone on a quest and asking them for the emerald to hunt down a goblin chief? WAY out of line. Pay the 12 000+* for it if you want it!

                            I have to disagree here, Fez. People are free to play mercenaries. I think it's good roleplay to try and rip someone off frankly. Remember, not everyone is good-aligned. The fact that players have AGREED to give all items on a dead boss to the quest owner is more OOC than what you're describing. I don't think anyone is taking advantage of OOC knowledge here.

                            There's some confusion here. There is a difference between ninja looting and IC relations. We all know that some ninja looters may CLAIM there is IC reason behind their stealing, but generally, we know the difference. If you witness something like this, simply report it to a DM. However, quest owners have no rights to the gems on bosses. That's simply something the player base has made up OOCly.

                              Thank you for clarifying anyway PL. Mostly I wanted this bumped because someone tried to do it, until I politely corrected them (grumpy old Hin's have their way!)
