  • IRC Down Until Further notice

The IRC is down until I can reconfigure it. If dealing with one piece of shit software isn't bad enough (NWN2) I now have to resolve IRC puking on me.

On a side note, if you're still getting any kind of connection issues with the server, there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE THAT CAN BE DONE ON OUR END TO FIX IT. That means posting on the forum about it is wasting your breath, and I'll be deleting the threads.

My network is fine, my upspeed is fine, the server is fine, the mod is running fine. If you're having issues it's related to either your system configuration or NWN2's general lack of stability and shittiness. I can host dozens of other services and even other games without issue, NWN2 just does its own thing. It runs on an antiquated networking stack that never should have existed for NWN2, it's garbage and nothing can be done about it. In all technical respects I've went above and beyond what I can do.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

The one IRC idler walks into this thread and sheds a tear before walking back out.

If it helps any it only seems to happen when transitioning into Port and Sestra ... at least for me. Never happened in any other area but I don't have the whole map open of course.

At this point I agree with you 100% it isn't your end or even our end really I think it's NWN2s general shittiness. However I thought the above info might be useful to you because perhaps NWN2s general shittiness has problems with large busy areas. Those seem to be 2 of the largest I've seen and may be the reason why the "long load screen" thing seems to happen when loading into those areas ... maybe.

If you need help "trial and error testing" at any time just shoot me a PM I'll be your guineapig. Hopefully Obisidian gets off there asses and fixes it soon.

Those areas were fine before, apparently it's solved now after we removed our custom terrain materials.
