    Updater Failure

    Hello everyone,
    I apologize if this has already been post. I looked but I didn't see anything. It seems every time I try to run the updater it is telling me it has failed and to "retry". The problem is that every time I retry it fails again. I've made sure I am using the current .net framework and windows installer for Windows Vista. I am plump out of ideas so anything is welcome. Thank you guys for your time and hopefully I can be on the server soon. =D

    As long as .NET 3.5 is installed, try disabling all antivirus/firewall programs. If that doesn't work go to start -> run type in %temp%\sundren updater.log and paste the contents here.

    You likely have a file you downloaded partially that become corrupted and now the updater is failing.

      Yeah I came to the same conclusion so I cleared things out, atleast I think so :P. After I did that The installer ran to about 45% then failed. I then reopened it and the updater jumped to 85% and proceeded past 100%. I then kept getting an error about exceeding the maximum value of 100%. I'll go ahead and post what you've requested once I'm home from work. Unfortunately a 12 hour day that just started. :P

        It kept doing that for me yesterday -- over and over again, despite disabling everything (literally, everything...) and clearing out and starting with a fresh install and restarts. Been having issues with firefox3, so I've been doing a lot of that the past couple days.

        But I did make the miraculous discovery that even though the thing never seems to finish, I can still log in to the server, create characters, and actually end up in the port, move around, converse. So it did finish. It just didn't want to lose my company.

        Try logging into the server, maybe, and see if it isn't just being...weird.

            wow this was happening to me as well...I've been bothering Saulus for 2 days trying to figure out different things.I was even about to unistall and then reinstall all of NWN2 to see if that helped.....I hope that it will just let me log as well. *crosses fingers* Thanks for your help guys.

              Okay well my problem was the same as yours, but now when i try to log onto the server it keeps saying that i'm timing out and then disconnects...any help from here?

                  okay, yet again. This time it says that my CD key is unauthorized. On a lighter note i seem to be getting closer.

                    Having the same problem, but persistent despite a number of attempts to rectify it. I deleted the entire game, re-installed and ran the Sundren updater to attempt to stop the persistent crashing (Thanks Dune) and now I can't complete a re-download of the Sundren files. I even re-installed the Client and nothing. Hope this helps rectify whatever's wrong.
