I have a character concept that I'm quite happy with -- I won't go into too many details on that here -- but I have run into a small problem.

I already knew the deity of my choice (Ubtao) isn't actually in the NWN2 OC, but now I know it isn't in Sundren either. Now, that's ok, the question is if there's any way around that -- no other deity fits the region of choice (Chult), though one elven one could work if I make it a bit of a stretch.

Is selecting another one the only option available, or is there something else that can be done?

    Additionally:
As a minor suggestion, considering the sheer number of Faerunian deities that are not in the game compared to the wiki list, perhaps the list should be edited to reflect only those gods that can be selected.

I think it only seriously matters if you're going to play a cleric because of some scripts for domains apparently. If not, then a close fit with another deity is probably best, but also mostly irrelevant as its all behind the scenes on your character sheet. And of course, Faerun is polytheistic, meaning virtually everyone is going to worship most if not all of the gods, so no doubt there are other gods that your character would also worship alongside Ubtao.

I like to choose appropriate deities for my characters -- especially the ones that don't just pay lip service. If I need to choose another just to satisfy game mechanics, I can/will, but my reasoning is all background.

Were waiting on Obsidian to implement the others. For the mean time, choose appropriate domains, a different god, and ask a DM in game to change the name of your god.
