  • the spirit shaman

I have a few questions concerning this class:
firstly i like to know if all feats of the spirit shaman are actively working secondly, is sundern set up to handle the spirit shaman world with related monsters and npc and the shadow world ?

    thanks borton

The spirit shaman functions as normal with the exception of raise dead ability. It costs a blodstone or two to use. (Not sure on the exact number)
As for are all the creatures classified as spirits correctly? No. On the list of things to do, but not at the top of the priorities yet.

Shadow world? I doubt that will ever happen. It would double the size of our module for limited usage. Maybe if our hardware capabilities and nwn2 memory usage shifts drasticly in the future, but not now.

I'll admit it would be cool to actually cast etheralness and shift into a etheral version of your world, or be able to use shadow walk spells.

Its easier in the singleplayer module becasue you don't have to load areas into memory all at once, you load em as you need em, unloading others. A server on the other hand has to load up all the areas used.

    Would be cool though...

I can say from experience that being a spirit shaman is more on Sundren than the sum of its abilities. Often a DM will give you some tidbits of information gleaned from your spirit guide if you take a moment to ask, and the RP potential is excellent.

I've never yet run into a monster that was affected by my special abilities, but don't forget the spontaneous casting from the druid spell list already makes you a powerhouse. Leck can buff himself quite impressively and still have enough offensive magic to take out a few nasties and be the main party healer.

IMHO being a spirit shaman is more about RP than powergaming, it's an excellent class to play on Sundren, and you hardly ever run into another one. I haven't at all yet.

In answer to your question, there's only one feat that's actively running all the time and that's follow the guide. The others can be dragged to your quickslot bar to be activated as and when you need them.

well thanks on the info there but i was just thinking the shadow world don't have to cover the hole server, but say special arias as not to over load the server.

I will say that the Plane of Shadow is addressed on Sundren, and there may even be an area or two that is explicitly located there, but I'll say no more on it. ^_^
Adama who was once called Adama Hrakness, sacred paw of Mielikki

Lihana Farrier, Paladin of Torm and noble dalliance

On Hold: Alandriel Ward, Actually a Vampire Groupie
Retired for Good: Tamryn Jorandur, Hano's Wife and Conflicted Soul

Yeah there is a couple shadow plane areas, but they are not coded with the spirit shaman in mind, nor do they effect specific spells like they should.

hay guys one last question with the races that are currently active what would be the best class bear in mind that the shaman needs +17 Wisdom class lv for lv and +17 charisma for difficulty for the higher spells

ehh....I don't think any of the normal races get bonuses to CHA or WIS...I could be wrong though.
                Characters:
Peridan Twilight, one-eyed dog of the Legion, deceased.
Daniel Nobody, adventurer and part time problem solver.

                [DM] Poltergeist :
