Now I'm not 100% sure that this works for everyone, but it has seemed to work for me personally. While fooling around with the many options in the Game Options window. I came across the Audio section for Sound Provider. When I was using RAD Game Tools RSX 3D Audio, I zoned successfully several times. When I used other options like Miles Fast, and Creative Labs, I'd crash on zone when it got up to Phase 2. My idea is that try this for yourselves. It could be that devs of Bioware simply implanted these providers incorrectly for MP use. I was advised by a DM to post to the forums about this... Not sure weither to call this a bug fix? or a suggestion? I figured the general discussion would be best. Keep in mind that the sound quailty isn't the grestest.. (I only hear music playing,.. and very faint voices, and ambient sounds) .. But I can deal with that, lol just as I'm still there to play. Hehe.

Okk im not sure if im on the same level as you here, but when you say, crash the whole game just quits out right? Because thats whats been happening to me.. and its REALLY $^?^%? me off.
Or does yours just go straight back to the menu sorta thing, and just boot you off the server? Just curious because my little current problem has my head looking like homers.

Entirely OEI's problem. Sundren has nothing to do with the crashes. The server going down sometimes or players crashing is Obsidian. The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

In some respects, yes. It has to do with Obsidian's clients being fussy. If this isn't fixed in 1.05 I won't be impressed.
I already haven't been able to replace my NWN2 disc because Atari doesn't really exist anymore and they have no customer support. The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

Obsidian is a new company trying to stay alive, so you gotta give em that. At least they HAVE some ppl still on the project working on it, even though half or more were stripped away to do other things.
Its no Bioware, but its all we got, and NWN didnt really start rockin till a year or so, so think of that

Yes, this seems to be a known issue with PWs. Atari has not impressed me since they released a half-finished Temple of Elemental Evil a few years ago, a game that could have been awesome had they finished it or at least not totally abandoned it after release.
On a more positive note, I want to believe that previous patches have been focused on improving the single-player experience, with future patches finally getting serious about multiplayer capability. But then I might just be a secret agent sent by Atari to plant these silly ideas in your heads!

I was experiencing a lot of crash to desktop with the "send an error report" thingermajig. It really annoyed me so I downloaded the full .20 version of Sundren's client and did a nice fresh install (as opposed to the .19-.20 upgrade). Things seem to be working much much better now.

Yeah the patch seem to be picky with some people, installing the full client is a good problem solver if you are experiencing frequent crashes. When we update the client again I will be doing a few things different with the patch so it should be more stable. I know there are still issues with OEI though as I have the full client and even I experienced crashes lately. The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.
