  • Some newb questions

First, for the record I used the search function to no avail. Now to my questions. I'm rather new to Sundren, but have liked it so far. I just require abit of information to help me along. Hopefully this is the right forum for such.

Are there any merchants that deal in ingots of other than iron, and are there any sellers of full plate molds? I'm soon to have 10+ craft armor and was wondering if I managed to find or purchase the mithral ingots if I could then find a fullplate mold and craft some armor myself since mithral in nwn2 requires a 10+ craft for its crafting, not sure if Sundren is the same.

Also I'm curious about how much things cost, I'm sure a player would sell things I'm hoping substantially cheaper than I find at vendors. I'm up to 3000+ stags and I'm wanting to get my Dwarf armored up in something better than a shoddy half plate. And since I might not be able to make my own armor *hurts Dwarven pride* I want to know what my money can get me. I saw a +1 d-war axe for 780+ at a merch, but didn't want to burn my coin.

Also for whispering in game do you need the persons account name or the characters first name? I know ooc is to be kept at a minimum, but if I make a friend or 2 I'd like to try to find them quickly since I don't have much time to game typically.

    Thanks!,

Crafting isn't fully realized yet in Sundren but now that we have quests working it's going to be one of the next big projects we tackle, so patience will pay off in regards to that (yes you will be able to use the crafting skills).

As for whispering, the player chat menu accessible via the neverwinter eye makes it easy to send tells.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

Ah, ok thank you sir for your help. I'm looking forward to making an impact in the world of Sundren and I'm excited about all the future improvements. I've yet to meet a DM and experience an instance, I've read all the etiquette and look forward to it.

I'd still love to have some information about the economy of Sundren.. How far does 3k go? Are there mithril plates out there now? Whats a common price to pay for +1 stuff or etc..?

Sundren is newly discovered land so trade and in particular trade of magical arms has not quite boomed as of yet, but have made an appearance in Sundren. With that said, there are not many magical items and the few that exist are not considered powerful amongst what you would find in other lands...

Prices and availability of ore and the different types of it should be discussed/discovered IC through your adventures and interactions with other PCs. I hope you have fun!

Edit: The previous statement was pulled from here. Check it out to get an idea of the world you're about to experience!
