  • A greeting and a question

Firstly, hello to you all. After trawling nwn websites for a little while your community (and I hope server) is very impressive (there's only so many black background rotating .gif sites a man can stomach).

A little explaination, i've just bought NWN2 after roleplaying for a long time with the original game before neglecting to buy the expansions and losing touch with my old community; hence scouring the internet for signs of roleplay in the sequel.

The question I have is whether there are any alternative mirrors for the client download? as my estimated time for completing it is...um...3 days currently 0_o

What kind of internet are you on? It took me 4 minutes to get it, and when I was downloading the filepack it was going at max speed for my connection... (555 KB a second or somesuch.)

      Welcome.

Odd, it takes most people 1 - 2 minutes to download from there. Perhaps trying again in time, the internet is full of dynamics. We are looking for places to mirror, but have none yet.

Three days he has to be on dial up then...in which case theres nothing you could do except purchase a faster connection.

Not quite that bad of a connection. On an 8mb line so it should be relatively quick. Usually get speeds up around 200k/s. It's most likely something up with my connection from the sounds of it

edit: hmm, transfer has completely stopped now but downloading other files is fine.

If you are behind a router then perhaps it's blocking it ? or a firewall ? a port ? Could be so much things

Possibly, the port forwarding is setup on my router so it doesnt give me any problems usually and my firewall has never given me any issues...meh.

Anyways, I shall try again later, and hope
