  • Spell Duration

I was just tinkering with character builds in single player and noticed that bulls str and spells like it have been gimped to 60 seconds/level. Has that been fixed in Sundren or are they the same as singleplayer?

60 seconds per level is gimped? Uhh... that's not a bug and it works fine. If you want it to last longer get persistent spell.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

I've seen this misconception before. Typiclly it comes from from playing NWN1 and not playing PNP.

In NWN1 they faithfully followed 3.0 PNP rules and the duration was at 1 hour / level.
In NWN2 they kept up with the times by changing it to 1 minute / level as per 3.5 PNP rules.

If you think its gimped, your best bet is to go to the Wizards of the Coast website and complain. This version of Bull's Strength is the one that millions of people the world over use.

Misconception comes more from not being able to afford 3.5 books and no longer having a PNP group, haha. No need to be touchy about it. If I still was playing pnp I think I'd be sticking with 3rd ed considering everything I keep hearing about 3.5

Skip 3.5, go straight to 4. Much, much, much better.

Yeah I'm psyched about 4. Wizards will no longer be "stand around and wait for 90% of the fights, then blow the world up in 10%."

Not gonna touch the 4th edition topic.

Here one can find 90% of DnD 3.5 core rules (PHB, DMG, MM). The other 90% is stuff concerning character creation, experience levels, and some "product identity."
