My new char, whos a drow, is very hateful of surface people. Might end up not even traveling with them at all, but its going to be hard to find groups then.
Also, the state of Sundren now is not how it has to remain. We set it up so players can define more of the outcome. If a bunch of Drow start terrorizing people, it wouldn't take long for people to turn and say "You're one of them! You spy!" and the players get lynched. It could also go the other way "I don't know, I was bleeding to death and that Drow fixed my intestines. I think they're alright people!"
I am only imposing the state of current Sundren on people through NPCs.
In NWN1 I was in a drow guild, and we didnt even had drow. Requirments was Elf, dark skin and chaotic evil. And yes, we got our butts kicked and returned the favor. It was great.

If it remains in IC, I.E. an expression of your characters personality to another, I don't see anything wrong with it. If people fear it, it's no different then the real world in terms of hearing, seeing, or understand why people do the things they do.
Well, the problem is, i tried playing my drow earlier on. Every damn drow was good and traveling with other surface-dwellers. Its like... none of them want to be bad.

Personally, I like well-done evil characters. Perhaps it's just my nature. I've had difficulties playing anything good, so naturally I'm one of the DMs who has been pushing more evil characters and giving a lot of opportunities for players to ally themselves with the evil forces at work.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.
