    Power Outtage -- Donate to Help buy a UPS

    Hey guys, I just had a power outtage here as of about quarter to 2 in the morning. These power outtages are not only irritating, but they are also tough on the hardware. Which I don't want to fry (because that would be far more costly). So far you guys have raised about half the cost of the UPS (almost $100).

    Whether it's $5 or $50 every bit helps -- and if you've already donated, thanks! The whole staff really appreciates it as do all the other players who might not be in the position to donate right now.

    Hey Saulus i really want to donate,but i havent started working yet....Got laid-off from my touring band....but ill make my sister donate...im sure she will give to the cause..

        Lmao....paypal, is it just set up for using the card? Dont know anything about it honestly...I dont know what UPS is either...I know of the shipping place UPS,but im sure it isnt the same thing.

          I probably should have made it clear, the UPS is an uninterruptible power supply. Basically it filters all power going to the server so it not only operates better, but in the case of a power failure -- the particular UPS I am looking at will have 5 hours of battery lifetime.

          Essentially meaning that the server uptime will be somewhere around 99.9% or some ridiculous number like that.

            Paypal can be set up using a debit/credit card OR with your bank information (routing number, etc.).. Though if you want to set it up quickly you'd need online bank statements to do so, else you have to wait for one to be mailed to you (part of the confirmation process).

            Edit: Then again, I guess you could call your bank asking for any deposits made? Hm.. Never tried it, but could be possible.

              If I remember a UPS is an Un-interruptible power supply. So if the power goes out the server stays up for a certain amount of time (based on battery life I believe) until the power kicks back on or the UPS runs out of power.

                Thats so odd because we had a power outtage here too for like a minute or two.. I dont get paid again until the 1st but Ill donate some then ^.^

                    About Paypal - easiest to set up with online banking - you just check your statement online and see the deposits right away. You don't need to do be a Verified User anyway - you can send e-cheques without verifying your acount and address, you can also pay with a debit/credit card to a Paypal account using Paypal webiste I think.

                    About UPS - lol - that was a good one mate!

                          Give him a few hundred levels, but do something nefarious like for every level he gets he gets perma killed. Then you'll be able to afford all the hardware you need.

                              Not necessarily, unless the cap you put on it (which you didn't mention earlier) is $140, they could always de-level you and then give you more levels. Sometimes you've got to think like the devil.

                              Oh my god, I seriously think playing this new evil character is affecting me, I never would have thought like this before lol.
