If it's all considered in character and is the basis of DM research on players for quests / events / et cetera, then surely it's biasedly inclined to benefit truthful, honest and forthright characters over those who are liars, discreetly evil or simply secretive?

Alright, I've noticed another problem. It's said to be in character, but there's a line for Alignment. Surely no character actually knows their alignment? They might consider themselves righteous, kind, compassionate, just and brave, but they wouldn't know to call themselves lawful good, because it's a game mechanic. If anything you'd call yourself lawful and good, because it makes grammatic sense.
Also, who's writing this bio? Is it an auto-biography or is this considered information passed around by spies, unseen seers and other information gathering types?"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room!"

What you didn't know? In the forgotten realms everyone has to register a personal biography with the city clerks office that states their Name, Religion, one of 9 broad alignments, birth place, hobbies, occupation, and there's an 'other' section where they are allowed to make any other public disclosures that they wish to make. When they registered they are handed a pretty little glowing name tag that pops up above their heads so that others can identify them.
They need this information so that they know how to judge a persons actions, chaotic evil person kills a hobo, eh... he could be doing worse things, lawful good kills a hobo, we may want to look into that one...
On another note, yeah I've been kinda waiting for that private section, for one of my characters.Akodo
Rhime - or is he?

True to your namesake, you're leaving hope wherever you go :3Originally posted by Leaving Hope View PostPublic and private versions of player bios, in addition to a slew of other features, will be available in the future.
I posted my character's bio, but missed out a lot of secretive detail. I read Richard Darkholme's bio as well and noticed a 'DM Only Information' link at the bottom. Quite a clever idea."Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room!"
