No, it's fine. We probably just tapped into that global conciousness database-of-ideas at the same time. Might I point out to you that one rather cool concept of the Doomguard in 3.5 is the Song of Dissolution, of which the excerpt of a manual is thankfully available: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x...040706a&page=3

It fits in very well with the concept of a bard-Doomguard, IMHO.

        No problems!

About the actual topic. Is there any way to lock contents to make them only available for DM's eyes? There's a lot of information I'd want to keep secret to players which I would want DMs to be aware of.

That would be useful. I posted my character rhime and it's basically a bunch of unknowns. Since I don't plan to tell any of the player base not involved with him, anything about him. DM's I wouldn't mind though.

If you can find a way to hide content from average users, you'd be my hero. Unfortunately, with MediaWiki, I was unable to find a permissions system. There's a lot of content we want to lock down from the average user.

Sadly MediaWiki is not designed to have protected content and doesn't look like it ever will. There are hacks out there to do it but are probably not recommended.

Annie, Alijah and Mirko have joined the Hallowed Halls

I wonder if I should make an entry for Mathilda (Annie's badger) too I can never figure out who's boss, she or Annie.

                Would that be all right?

You can certainly put a familiar subsection for Mathilda in Annie's page, but no, not a unique page for Mathilda. Thanks.

Another way to post things for "DM Only" it's like what Im doing, using Blogspot, and there you can hide the blog from the public view and distribute the address only to the DMs.

Perhaps we could have a forum setup like the Help forum, where only you can the DMs can read your topics, and use it as a Special DM Knowledge Forum?

That also seems like it could be a convenient alternative that would at least kind of keep things neat and organized on our website. Instead of everyone submitting their own blogspots (not that that was a bad idea, I like the idea) or whatever other personal blog type forum they might enjoy using.

Well, PMs disappear after a while, and so you can't use it for reference...

Actually if you look in the bottom right hand corner of your PM inbox page it says this:

                              Download all Private Messages as:
                              XML | CSV | Text

So you could in theory just download and archive all your PMs as you delete them to keep the free space.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

                                Oh. Okay. My bad.

So what does the DMs think on this? Forum to dump highly volatile, secret awesome ninja Cyric-worshipping biographies in, or just PM the DMs?

My opinion is that forum posts function pretty much like Wikis. You can edit them at any time, all DMs can reference it whenever they want (IF they want), and it can be longwinded. Whereas PMs sort of force DMs to read them, they may not give a damn, and players cannot update it regularly. Just if I was a DM, I'd rather have somewhere to reference all the bios rather than getting spammed by it every day.
