Booted

A DM just booted me, I said 'AFK' (as I had to go the toilet) and would of been missing for five minutes, absolute tops. Then I get back, and all of a sudden there was a message saying 'Time to go' and before I could think, I was booted.

Are they allowed to do that?

It's not like I left my character standing there for no reason..

I think it's because the server was being updated, so you had to leave.

Thanks Peridan.. they could have at least said that instead of 'Time to go'.. At least I would of known what was happening that way.

Looks like we missd each other Elzath, I issued a General shout and everyone cleared out.. took about 3-5 minutes. You were the last person on, I sent you a tell saying you were , got no response, ported to you, said time to go, and then booted you to make sure your pc got saved. I could have let the server just go down and your pc could have been not saved that way.

Please understand that even if your AFK the server keeps going on without you.. and we do give a few minutes to work out what you need to.. when your the very last person on the server... and were not getting responses from you.. we have to act on it.

I feel for your plight, but in the exact same situation, I would do it again.


And yes, a DM can boot you if your AFK and he feels its warranted. So can a DEV. Normally we don't. But we can

I understood the server keeps going in my absence, and that DM's can boot you, but I was confused because I didn't think I had breached any rules, etc. and all of a sudden, I was out of there.

Haha, I kinda feel stupid for holding everyone up like that, sorry guys!
