HEEELP, cant log on

Yesterday I got a problem.
When I pressed multiplayer it said:
Autorizing player name
Autorizion server down, skipping aut
Could not connect to master server, some multiplayer services may not be available.

so now I can not conect to the server. I tried both the direct connect and the "normal" way.
I also opened the ports that the autorizing server was supposed to use, but still nothing happend..

It sounds like the Gamespy auth server is down, leading to login issues sometimes.

It's not something a PW server can fix, for the most part gamespy fixes it soon enough and you can login again

Hmm.. I can remember of only one situation where I had this, back in the nwn1 days.. it did Auth, but I couldnt log into any Multiplayer server (they kept timing out, on LV servers the "play" button was greyed out ect)

Again this seemed to be a Gamespy related issue, and was fixed in a few days. Sometimes it takes a few hours, but I cant be sure.

I'm trying to help, but other than that it's a Gamespy issue and will be fixed soon, I dont really know what to do to fix it..

Things you can try are a different account, and try direct connect with that different account.

Sometimes your Login CD key gets "stolen" by a server that you played on previously and crashed out, but that usually doesnt take days, and is fixed within 5 minutes.

well. I am not sure if it is even gamespy.
the first thing it does it to try conect to the auth server when I press multiplayer, then after when I press "join internet" it tryes to connect to gamespy.
I tried to connect to other servers, but everyone timeouts.
I remember a server "stole2 my key in nwn1, but then I got the message "cdkey is in use", so it is not that eighter.

anyone know if it will help to reinstall, or is it some ports that is blocked?
Im getting real frustrated, if I get mad enough I will reinstall my whole windows. Or perhaps just throw the computer out the window.. that oughter learn it a lesson!

What IP are you trying to connect to?

Do you see Sundren in your history?

I would was going to ask what IP you were trying also, hum... of course check your login name. If all else fails reinstalling may help.

Hmm... normally the only time I get a problem with the auth server and time outs is when my internet is having a problem, did you try resetting your modem?

I get this message all the time, but I just retry or restart the game and it works. It usually occurs when my net active on other things than just NWN, resetting the modem might help.
Had this issue with NWN1 also, I had to do a re-install to fix it there if I remember correctly

I always connect through history - even after I get that same message, I can still connect that way. I'm not sure if that'll work for you though.

I am using the new IP. But I dont get any servers on my history.
I also now have reseted the modem, still no change.
I tried closing down most processes that runs in the background to.
I will try reinstall the game now and see what happens

I reinstalled.
Now I dont get the errormessage, and I get trough multiplayer autirization without problems, BUT I can not connect to the autoupdater, so I can not update the game.
The Gods really are against me

actually, right this moment, the server seems to be off line. It burped us all out and keeps flicking in and out of my favorites list.

Maybe you can download a manual update somewhere?
