  • sundren_v36.hak missing

    Hi,

    I need some advice please.

I just upgraded to v1.12 and when I want to log into Sundren I get the following 2 files missing.

    sundren_v36.hak and sundren_icons.hak.

As suggested in the FAQ I delete the sundrent.state and sundren.ver files to force the updater to recheck my downloaded files.

It does not recognise that sundren_v36.hak and sundren_icons.hak are missing.

I get the missing files error just after I selected my char.

    Any ideas?

    Regards,
    dieOrg.

    Run the updater.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

I deleted some of the smaller *.hak files.

      It downloaded those....

      but not sundren_v36.hak and sundren_icons.hak...

      Any ideas?

      Thanks again.

Unless you've changed the default download location for the updater, then deleting sundren.state and sundren.ver will work.

            Ok...

So untill sombody convinces me of my error of ways...

If made 2 copies of sundren_v35.hak and renamed them to the missing files.

It seems I can log in now... - I was able to reach Exigo trading grounds without anything crashing.

Ill keep trying to convince the Sundren Updater to fetch me ligitimate copies of the missing files...

            Thanks again,

That's a good way to destabalize the server.

have you tried deleting sundren.state and sundren.ver like saulus said? that will make it scan all your sundren files and give you the ones you don't have when you run it again, course if you have files named as the ones your missing it might not pick it up.

                  I was afraid of that.

I'll remove those files ASAP and not login untill the Sundren downloader gives me the correct missing files.

                  Yes,

I've deleted sundren.state and sundren.ver about 20 times rerunning the Sundren downloader. And yes I've deleted the missing files I reconstructed before running the updater.

                  Thanks,

Then unless you have a poor internet connection and/or firewall / antivirus blocking the updater, it will work.

Sorry Saulus and thanks for the effort in helping!

                      Just to clarify...

                      I deleted sundren_v35.hak, I deleted sundren.state and sundren.ver.

I run the Sundren updater, it downloads sundrent_v35.hak for me but not sundren_v36.hak and not sundren_icons.hak.

Does this imply (it downloaded sundren_v35.hak) my connection and/or firewall / antivirus is blocking or not blocking the updater?

(and my default download location is correct as posted earlier?)

                      Thanks,

Also verify you have the latest updater version. And yes those default locations are correct provided that's the current user account you are using.

I uninstalled my current Sundren downloader.

I downloaded the latest version (-> Download Sundren Client Updater v1.1.2 r2
                          ) and installed that.

But no luck - still the same error / missing files.

I think Ill call it a night and try again tomorrow.

                          Thanks again Saulus and Ithildin.

                            Phew,

This morning the Sundren downloader supplied me my missing files!

I just wish I knew what I did wrong (or is that, right this time?)

And like me (from my work), I guess Saulus would like to shoot
                            certain ...users

                            Thanks again!
