  • What's the point of being evil?

On Sundren you can't be thief because no NPC has anything...

If you steal from a PC your bluff skill it pointless and DM "cut your hands off?" are you kidding?

Sundren could be REALLY good but it sucks for lack there of a better word.

Its like if I don't act like the "proper" dwarf no one will talk to me. Now there goes trying to play something interesting and different. "i.e. ranger dwarf with zen archery and low int"

And again being a thief is pointless.... if you want to live in a Mormon church and act like everything is peachy yeah, than fine but your server DOESN'T have much diversity and it bums me out.

Its very cliquey... and my band of thieves isnt welcome? Is this because you dont have the "control" you so desperatly need. Or is it because you dont have a creative enought team to roleplay it out?

My question is why does everything have to be so generic and controlled? Cant keep up? I can.

so with that I am finished with you guys.... To much control and it really bums me out because the world is a million times better than the others...

With the advent of the three new PRC's I would imagine much will be changing in regards to the server climate in months to come. As it stands now their simply happens to be more "good" aligned characters on the server than "bad", and unfortunately that sometimes makes it tough to roleplay the type of character you describe.

As far as character diversity goes there seems to be a decent amount of odd, or different personalities on the server-just go have a talk with Puck, or some of the more ingeniously thought out characters.

It's too bad you didn't find what you were looking for on the server. It has a great community that I have found to foster a great deal of character development if you simply put the time in to explore its lore.

I'm not sure how any of that relates to being evil.

Wait, wait... You were playing an unintelligent character and are upset that people treated him like he's stupid?

He couldnt speak right, he's not stoopid. His wisdom was maxed. Wisdom pertains to lore and not retaining facts. Int can effect a lot of thing when it come the brain. SO he cant rattle off the gods but he could learn you a thing or two... but the DM tells me I'm "dumb"so I have to be dumb and not super wise like he was. So CLEARLY the DM doesnt know what wisdom is or didnt notice is was SUPER HIGH. And that doesnt mean WISE in all things, just what we was good at, and that was his god "Silvanoose" and hunting in the wilds. (not just hack and slash)

Why would I be angry if no one wanted to talk to him? well one I wasn't angry just disappointed that every person is couldn't role play with him because they all wanted to be that snooty wizerd even if they played a fighter...

Learn about the guilds ect IG and you may realise there is more to Sundren then meets the eye.

Right, right. Wis connects the dots, and int describes and remembers their location. That's fine, I'm not going to quibble on that one as I didn't really have any information or description of that situation.

I was speaking more in reference to the thief that got caught. He sounded pretty dumb for not having multiple escape routes planned. Forgive me if I'm making an incorrect inference here, but pinching a purse without backup in the form of muscle, magic, or a really good story (not, "I didn't take your gold!" more a good tear-jerker like, "I needed the money to raise a dead friend, and I'm too proud to ask for handouts. Take your gold back and lemme go!")

Further, it sounds like the theft was done in a public place with powerful people and law enforcers around. If you can't run faster, fight better, or just plain disappear when things go south, you aren't playing a smart thief.

It's always nice to see someone come and take a shit on your porch when you let the kids play on your lawn for free... but hey, good luck wherever you go.

If you think there's something stopping you from being an evil PC, then you're definetly mistaken. However blatent acts of evil are not going to be turned to a blind eye. Sundren's evil factions are overwhelming at the moment, but other than DM interaction, we are waiting until our quests are developed enough so people can join these factions.

But honestly it's nasty, ignorrant posts like these that make me go ... wait I'm doing this for you?
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.
