From the above, I guess I'll seem to sound mildly retarded in saying this but--with the exception of the very visible Triumverate and Thayan factions--every other player seems ICly nothing more than a part of some loose confederation of adventurers who report to no one. No one is filing reports or mentioning duties. Even the public factions that sound implicitly easy to join just seem like dormant, static, uninviting groups with no interest in anything outside of themselves, and have no real pull in the day-to-day lives of the adventurer. When all Hell breaks loose, the Exigo guards just stare blankly forward.
I can understand that they may have gone catatonic from the constant trauma, but that kinda makes them seem even more static and less appealing to talk to.
I've never seen someone representing the Temple of Helm in RP (granted, I haven't been looking). Though I guess I'd expect that walking into the Helmite Temple yelling to the first priest you see, "M3 W4NTz J01N H3LM! M3 W4NTZ JUST1CEFU1 S3xXxYT1M3z NOW!!!" would always net an answer of: "Welcome. Would you like to buy some bandages? Divine scrolls? Raise the dead?"
It's not that I'm lacking in imagination. I'm so full of shi--imagination, it's started coming out other peoples' ears. I just don't have of the sense of entitlement that says I, who have been playing here for about a month though I mysteriously registered on the forum about a year ago, am automatically going to get that kind of attention.
I--I swear, I only hang out with pricks with chips on their shoulders! You got the wrong guy!
