I am very new to PW and being Active Duty military i dont have a lot of time to play. I already posted in the greetings section but i have some questions and didnt think that would be the right place. I also tried using the search function but im not that good with computers lol thats why im in the military. I read over the rules and just want to be sure of some things. Like when you say set someone as hostile to pvp and rolling for indimidation (Spelling lol) checks and stuff. is there a place this is explained more. Like how to i flag someone lol also i really want to Heavy RP can i be a master thief or assasins. How can i do this withing game rules. Can i pick pocket people liek in RL or Assasinate people for other players. Any help would be welcome.

Ok just an update. I decided to go with me gut and make a thug (rouge) But do rouges get any love in the PW lol. I have tried to pick pocket many a people and nobody has anything. Also is there any in game thieves guilds or assasins guild. I went out and got killed by some goblings lol. I thinking being a rouge may be no fun i might reroll. Am i missing guys.

I play an Assassin, You will have a little trouble fighting anything on your own as a rogue. I personaly do . Obviously a rogue in company with a good fighter or someone to handle themselves is good so your character can backstab.


My advice is this.. if you play a rogue type you may wanna make him/her a little sociable... so they can easily gain allies for groups. Especialy if you are knew to this.


And to answer your question about Assassinating characters or pickpocketing, you can..BUT.. this is a RP server and remember your player's actions can easily cause your character to suffer dire consequences for doing such deeds as stated above .

You should probably keep these in mind before you go about backstabbing or murdering anyone. Just like in real life, most Assassins don't go around killing everyone they see just because they can-often times, there are dire consequences, especially when within city limits.

You might get away with it in "Lawless" areas, but if the person isn't alone or someone else, perhaps a good aligned character sees you, you may easily become a party in "Vigilante Justice".

...which is a list of the PVP rules for the server. It's free PVP, but you still have to have a "reason" for killing your target...simply ganking someone because you really "feel" like it (or you are tempted ), doesn't cut it unfortunately. You also cannot "grief kill" your target over and over again-if you kill them once, they are "dead" for 24 hours (and you can't kill them again or else it is griefing).

...also keep in mind that while PvP opportunities may not be spontaneous, there are plenty of goblins' throats to be slit
