  • Getting animal companion to talk

What is the command sequence to get an animal companion to talk, as in show emoted text.

I've seen others do it and one said "DMFI tool". I used the ring and clicked on the pet but I couldnt get text there.

Hm, I know you can use the DMFI tool to talk in the Animal language if you have it, but I never knew you could make a companion talk. :S

you click on the animal so its "Targetted". You then open up your DMFI Language box, and select whatever language you want. Then just type in the emotes and words in there, and it should talk. Atleast, i think thats how it works. Its been a while scince ive tried.

            *revives a zombie thread*

I keep trying this.... it worked ~once~ only, and then I could not get it to work again.

            - Use DMFI and target Companion
            - pull up DMFI languages box from the menu and select any ( I tried every one I have)
            - Type

Mostly, it's my PC "talking" and not my badger *cries*

A Bug? Or am I doing something wrong?

EDIT: Okay... I found it. It's not what you target with the DMFI tool, it's the target you currently have selected by right-click! Thanks, I think I just needed to talk out loud

You do not use the DMFI tool! You right click on your animal companion and then use the DMFI language drop down, from the top of your screen. Then type in what you want the animal to say.

I usually make my wolf say, "grrr".

My badger! I meant the badger. Sheesh.

I use it all the time as a DM to make people talk. I also talk to Kangleton with the camp fire when I get the chance.
