  • Sundren's Feast of the Moon!

The idea got to me while I was giggling over GBX's post about some characters not being evil enough to not get presents from Santa. There is actually a Faerunian holiday loosely located around Christmas on their calender, the Feast of the Moon. Does anyone have input as to how it is celebrated around Faerun, what are the commonly observed customs, etc... I think it might be fun to try to plan a fun gathering event around the Christmas holidays for characters to meet up and have a Grand Winter Bal or something, or just a big Feast with lotsa punch and cake! ^^

    Anyone have suggestions?

Otherwise you can also use this thread to think what your character(s) might want to receive as a present... and what he/she would get!

I do know that some faiths observe the time more than others eg: the Feast of the Moon, honouring the dead, is the most important fixed date for the church of Tempus.

Just found this official snippet too:

The Feast of the Moon celebrates ancestors and the honoured dead. Stories of ancestors' exploits mix with the legends of deities until its hard to tell one from the other.

Its one of the five annual holidays that are observed as festivals and days of rest by virtually every civilised land in Faerun. This one falls between the 11th and 12th months.
