  • FR Timeline

Does anyone know where you see a timeline of the Forgotten Realms online or where a offical one is? I am interested to see where the novels fit in to the history of the Realms.

There is a book called the 'Forgotten Realms' campaign setting. Hopefully any large bookstores nearby may carry it. If not perhaps a comic book store or anywhere Pnp Dnd modules are sold.

In it the timeline goes up to year 1372 DR.

Sacrifice everything as the final darkness falls... in the end, all that awaits you is death. Only then will you understand - you've been following in my footsteps all along.
So come then, you heroes! Come in all your power and glory! For in the final hour, all must serve the one... true... king.

I have the campaigin setting but its was first published in 2001 so it does not contain refrences to any of the novels that have come out since then.

Good link though and quite usefull.

Ill just presume the latest novels have not happened yet then.

Ohhh, definitely not. Some of those novels are clearly at odds with Sundren's timeline, and the events within are... well... silly.

Dammit, Vhaeraun should stay! He was the one acceptable Drow god!
Adama who was once called Adama Hrakness, sacred paw of Mielikki

Lihana Farrier, Paladin of Torm and noble dalliance

On Hold: Alandriel Ward, Actually a Vampire Groupie
Retired for Good: Tamryn Jorandur, Hano's Wife and Conflicted Soul

From what I have been told by GBX, the campaign setting for Sundren is taking place in late 1372. Bane has resurrected, the civil war in Zhentil Keep is over, etc etc. The city of Shade is back, all that jazz.

Although the stupid thing about Lolth isn't happening, I don't think. It's usually best to just ignore Salvatore anyways.

It wont apply to Sundren unless they decieded to move the dates, problem is all the stuff with Lolth is going to happen Having read the WoTC forums and some of the plans for the 4E of the rules its going to be one big god killing feast

They always kill gods in transfer of rulesets. What do you think the time of troubles was?

Anyway, Lolth's silence didn't happen. We deemed this because we didn't want to deal with clerics of drow not having powers... it's weaksauce.

                      .
True, but as it stands they are looking at getting rid of 100+ gods it seems

You know all that two years ago the official year was 1372 for FR but now I think it is 1374, it changes when a new year comes here :P I read that somewhere.

                            Woohoo Asmo for teh win!
Will Sundren freeze its timeline in the 3.5 Forgotten Realm roots? Or will it try to follow 4th edition when it comes out regarding some concepts, including the pantheons?
