Eh, we have one Red Wizard PC, according to the statistics, and I don't know who that is. I was referring to the NPC enclave in Aquor. There's a Red Wizard there. :POriginally posted by Blue_Wyrm View PostWow, we even already have red wizard PCs?! Let's see... Red Wizards have zulkirs... so I proclaim myself Grand Vizier of Illusion hahaha.
More seriously, allow me to ask a simple but important question to reopen the debate : What could us Good people do together agains the Evil groups without it being necessarily player-killing, that would further the Good cause? No, no we won't throw toilet paper over the roof of the vampires' hideout...Drado Nackle, gnome scholar of the Weave

I am sure Satoshi has many ways to create and develop tension between good and evil without Player Killing.
I for one welcome a spark to crate tension between good and evil and being a neutral player i really look forward to being the rope between a tug of war match.
I think it is a shame people instantly see player killing as a way of holding a battle over good and evil.
Cold war anyone? grand scheme of things it was one faction versus another good vs evil, ugly versus pretty, A versus B (no i am not saying one is right and the other wrong) but it is conflict without direct war, getting one up on the other so they no longer posed a threat.
Fight for followers, make your Deity have more followers giving him greater strength over other Deities.
Looking forward to Moral RPing.-Siorfind Englen-

Undeadsteak you were trying to Road block a Dungeon out of boredom and some poor lowbies ,without a chance of ever beating your character, continuously were being blasted with warlock spells and abilities time after time. That is the essence of griefing. Giving people OOC headaches for no reason.Originally posted by undeadsteak View Post..., First off, take this to PMs. Second off, I attacked you once. I didnt cast firewalls near you at all when you were in battle. And I havent repeatedly killed you. I even healed your friend after i attacked. Your char pretty much ignored my whole chars RP, even ask the elf who was with your group. He did not feel grieved at all after it alked to him, and he said my char was totally RPing. You simply decided to ignore my char throughout, And one hour? I was with your char when you went to the spittlefist caverns, and after you got to the second level, i left fromt here.
Rp is not "EVERYONE IS ON A SIDE!" Rp is playing WITH people. Why don't you go attack people your level in this manner? You know why you didn't? Because you would be risking death. That shows it was an OOC choice to pick on these people vs others.
That, in no way, is RP. When I see people part of opposing factions, working together to bring enjoyment to conflict, THOSE are my favorite players. When I see people in a faction, and get mad when they aren't always on the winning side, those people can GTFO the server.
To me Sundren is like recess in grade school where we play kick ball. You need teams to play, but if someone is going to go throw a fit and scream because their team is losing, it ruins the whole game. Or if the other team is weaker, and they rub it in their face (By following them around and repeatedly bleeding them) then they are ruining the game.

... Ethane was there. I did not blast warlock spells over and over. After Romeo Longswords character refused to roleplay with me at all, my char took it that he was ignoring her. So she attacked him, and after they fell, i healed them too. I don't know if you were watching at all, but if not, you simply asked Romeo of his version, which i can say is fully screwed up, seeing as i did not push his char into a firewall at all.

Undead steak, I showed up in the area, I saw you attacking them, that's all I needed to see before I took action. Was their something offensive to your character they did by hunting goblins? Is your character a goblin sympathizer now? Did you really have to take your > level 10 char and blast two level 4s who are barely able to handle the goblins around them, let alone you?
I think you are still missing the point.
Why in god's name were you even blasting them with spells to begin with? Why did you have to heal them from YOUR attacks? Who cares if you pushed them into AOE spells or hit them with a single eldritch blast. What was the point? How is that fun for them? Is your character the goblin cave defender now?

I got teleported out of the cave somehow so I did not see Undeadstreak Killing the other players. But..
I was there on both accounts and to me, it was all RP (I cant speak for the otehrs). He mentioned in the caves that he was a banite.. My other party members First mentioned that they were there to stop the banite threat or words to that effect.
Anywayz
As far I gathered it was all good fun...
I Do understand the other points tha twas brought up in this thread, I as person just think Undeadstreak's name was getting slighty tarnished in this thread."We are what we think.
All that we are arises with our thoughts.
With our thoughts, we make our world"

And if I said nothing, the people who got attacked names get tarnished too. If people argue in public, I have to settle them in public.
Anyway, the rules are up there as a sticky now. So it's clearly defined for all to see. There was alot of complaining yesterday and me needing to jump all over the place to deal with PVP.
Bottom line is, PVP will happen, alot for some character designs. However, there's no need to be malicious about it. It'd probably have been better if the characters were killed instead of tormented in this case. Death, they respawn, memory loss, 24 hours pvp cease fire, guess what, they can go level.
In this case, they are knocked to bleeding, healed, blasted some more, and it keeps going.

Well Id just like to say that the forces of Good have one less Banite to worry about.. Drauius Clynius was... um.. tickled to death by a crazed old man claiming to be the high judicar of Sundren..
Needless to say my body is now laying in some river or something.
Ill admit I was prob one of those people getting complaints on last night as I was using something to help aid me get away, I appologize and for that I 'rewarded' those involved by going quietly.
Meh all fun and games though.. but since the death of one, my attention turns to the toolset.. keep you eyes open for the next update which will include a lot of the hak pack weapons, clothing, and armors. Cheers!Ice
Drauius Clynius-Captured, beaten, tortured and executed... Now resting in a river near you!

V-toshi is correct, all you goody little two-shoes need to band up and start working together rather than being loudmouths because you think that the state will protect you, or because you think that good always triumphs over evil like in the movies.
Bzzzt! WRONG!
Good has it as tough as evil, and both sides have to put in a lot of effort in order to get anywhere. There is the misconception that us DMs are here to hold your hand and guide you/your faction/your religion/your alignment to victory; this is incorrect. You are on your own, and we are not your mother/father/legal guardian which you can come and cry to when the mean Banite/Tormite kicks over your sand castle/indestructable fortress of good and/or evil.
Start using those brains of yours, and start finding like-minded people to band together and fight those who oppose you by either physical means or less overt methods.
And now, to nit-pick posts:
I proclaim thee a Grand Target for Assassination.Originally posted by Blue_Wyrm View PostLet's see... Red Wizards have zulkirs... so I proclaim myself Grand Vizier of Illusion
By saying one side is good and the other is evil you are essentially saying that one side is right whereas the other is wrong.
