Are there any online resources out there for researching the gods of faerun (sp?), history, etc. I would like to RP a cleric, but I don't feel like I have enough background on the gods and I don't want to be made a fool IC.

Could try here as well:

Remember though the infomation is not always 100% accurate but it should be enough to see you started espeacialy if you choose a well known God to follow.Currently playing:

Which god do you want to know about? I can copy down information from Faiths and Pantheons here for you.-Arcanist Josirah Caranos, Red Wizard of Thay

Think that was changed to just perm killing if domains dont match the ones listed here. Just because so many people take stuff that makes no sence. Like people had Bane but domains of healing...

So come then, you heroes! Come in all your power and glory! For in the final hour, all must serve the one... true... king.

The website for CoA still has deity information posted from FR source books here.
Each deity has a dogma which can vastly help first time RPers or people new to FR.
One thing I noticed was that the Air domain was missing from Talos, while not cannon, the NWN implementation allows casting of lightning spells which make a lot of sense to have on a Talossan.Originally posted by ThePaganKing View PostYou should check the Sundren fact, because they have the deities currently worshiped in Sundren and their domains. Also, Tiamat is not in that list, don't know if it was on purpose or not.Respen Moondown - Bard on a search for knowledge

In that case, I'd like to think that it won't be so difficult just to pick something that fits with the deity as long as it makes RP sense - like Talos with air domain (not that I'm saying that it is allowed here, but an example).
Personally, I'm looking forward to the domain WTF NO CLUE being in the next expansion. I might even have to play a cleric of Hathor, whomever he is.Hathor (L) NG Good, WTF NO CLUERespen Moondown - Bard on a search for knowledge

Hathor is a woman, with the head of a cow. She happens to the the Mulhorandi (Egyptian) Goddess of Motherhood (fertility). Domains include Family, Fate, Good, and Moon (only one of which is in Nwn2).

Reinamar Stormseeker - The bladestorm that must turn back the wind. Arkerym of The People, practitioner of the forgotten art, pariah.
Tyler Penleigh - Obligatory author insert, Red Blade Defender, sarcastic jerk, caring brother, loving fiancé, war criminal.

Eirimil Gaelazair (Dead)- Bitter. Caustic. Abrasive. Egocentric. Probably right. Found dead in the burned-out Viridale forest a few weeks after the survivors were able to sweep the area after the Bloodmaim offensive. Aside from his usual attire, an intricate music box was the only thing in his possession.
