  • An elven problem

Well, it has occured to me that Sundren has an increasing amount of elves taking to Sundren. Now, I do not know if this is because elves are 'uber awesome' or just so 'leetzor' that they just 'pwn' all other races, but it is a problem, and as a supporter of Sundren and my character a devote servant of the State I am proposing the following:

    A) All signs, books, etc. be also put into elven translation: This will benefit any elf who does not speak proper common or is just too elitist to speak common. Not only will the elves be benefitted, but all other races will be put to shame because Elven is clearly a superior language.

    B) Elven be a mandatory for any State Official: As the Elven population increases, it is only right that the State reflect this. Elves will eventually out number the humans, so the government should represent this so that it can effectively tend to the needs of the bulk of the population. By learning Elven the State Officials can communicate with the people that they now represent.

    C) All Elven Adventurers be cared for by the state: It is no lie that Elven communites are communes. They care for one another and the few that do leave their homes often feel a strong homesickness. So to combat this Sundren's State should provide for the Elves. Not only will this cause more elves to flock to Sundren, but it will also promote Sundren as an Elven Friendly place.

    D) The city of Sundren should be razed to the ground: Now this may seem radical, and it is! But Elves are radical as well so the land should reflect this. So to all of you: go out a burn down a barn! Free the farm animals and dine on berries and leaves!

    E) The Temples of All Non-Elven Deities be put into one minor building of stone: The Elves are not dwarves, they do not take kindly to stone structures. Most of their temples are 'one with nature'. As the Elven population of Sundren increases at such a rapid rate these sentiments will only be expressed more and more. So as a pre-emptive strike, All the temple that would be built with stone and such should be demolished and moved to one Mega-Temple. Rejoice! Now Bane and Tyr can reside in one temple while the clearly superior Elven Deities can spread their blessings amongst the land.

    F) All farm lands should be confiscated and turned into groves: Farming is wrong. It only uses the land and deprives it of its nutrients. As human farmers are inept and Elven farmers are nearly non-existent, farm lands in general should be confiscated by the State and turned into groves. The Elves will benefit from this because they now have places that better resemble their homes. The humans too will benefit because they will learn that if you wait for a decade the Land will eventually provide you food without mortal interference.

That is all that I have to say for now. I believe that it would behove the Developers, DMs, and players to seriously consider these reforms. Thank you for your time!

To save on so many costly reforrms, the state should simply be dismantled, and all the 'Hoomuns' sent into the mountains to feed upon one another's flesh, as comes naturally to them. All us Elves will deal with the realocation of land and worshipping space in our own fashion, thank you very much

      Amusing.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

        Or.......

We could just make a bunch of Pikes with elven heads on them... That should eliminate the problem.

Besides Sundren seems to havea a high concentration of Elves.... Considering that FR is majority humans.... As far as "Civilized" races go

Worry not. Hrogash will solve problem. Hrogash kill all elves. No more problem. Hrogash also kill all dwarves. Then make all others his slave. Hrogash is Hrogash, and Hrogash is Mighty. Hrogash is Invincible. All Fall before the Might of Hrogash. Wail in despair all that stand before Hrogash, for you will be crushed. Crushed under Hrogash's Mighty Club of Crushing. Or his Mighty Bootheel of Bootheel Crushing. It matters not, for all falls before Hrogash, He who is Mighty and Terrible. Worry not, for Hrogash has come and the Crushing that shall soon follow will be quick and painless. For Hrogash in his greatness is kind and merciful and will only kill, not cause pain. For Hrogash is great. And Mighty. And Invincible.

In case this is a serious post, I will state the following.

Sundren is in no way filled with elves. The player populace has no bearing on the Elven populace of NPCs. Therefore the council and the steward do not find it in their best interest to cater to an almost non-existent populace.

Hehe well if you do the statistics and count the Half-Elves but not the Drow, Elves make up nearly 23% of Sundren's population. Which I would consider a significant amount since humans are only 44%.
                    Active Characters:
Tassafina Lightleaf - A little sneaky but not as sneaky as Ithil

                    Silivren Anar
                    Merka Gillina

                    Hideing outs:
Alyssa Swiftwing - Priestess of Yondalla
                    Ravenne Naur'Loki - Roar!

PCs are a small number compared to the total population of Sundren. In comparison, the elven population is jack-all.

Dudes >_> This hardly a serious post.

Just pointing out the increased number of elves in a humorous way...

I always imagined there were a ton of elves from the Moonshae's up in Icewind Dale and the Spine. Mostly moon elves mind you (drow couldn't cope with the cold, damn Drizzt'eske sissies)!
