Playing poker at Jimmy's

Hey, I tried to play some poker with 3 other guys at Jimmy's but some of them didn't know how to play. So if you want to play poker you can learn how to from here.

Yeah, I'm not very good at poker. Barely know the rules, but hey, I'll give it a go with you guys....

I love it, I found its easier to play hold em then actual poker, only deal 2 cards to each player. and damn EVERYONE has to know how to play holdem.

I use to play hold'em in real life but my character Zorn will unlikely play poker at the dice den. He would think :"Risking money at a card play... that's nonesense!"

lord_kelthuzad your char wouldn't think like that, he's a wizard therefore he is smarter than the average bear, he'd have the upperhand on everybody no?

Besides there isn't a betting system so you wouldn't lose any gp.

That's the weak part of the game, if there is one. If they had a betting mechanism built in, it be great. When I've played, we've just made bets through chat and bartered after the hands to pay up. Otherwise, the interface is awesome.

That's the whole point though, there's no betting system because you can decide on the rules and stipulations yourself, and you can barter to give the bets. That way if someone wants to cheat or not honor the bet (which happens sometimes in real life) they can do so... entertainment ensues.
