I'd like to try Sundren but....

    I'd like to try Sundren but....

    So first problem:

    I use firefox - when I try to DL the Updater that doesn't work. (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.7) Gecko/20070914 Firefox/2.0.0.7 - is the firefox version I have)

    Solve this by using IE.

    Second Problem.

    Install the updater that seems to go ok.

    Open it up and nothing happens. No progress to say how its going with checking for updates.

    No connection to the custom content server when you click update.

    It dies and that's it.

    I get why you want to have an auto-updater but where are the files for when it doesn't work?

    Well met,
    I use Firefox at home and it worked for me, could be a different version I guess and I'll leave the second one for one of the programmers and hope you get it sorted soon. Welcome to Sundren.

      I'm getting a problem with the updater too. It's worked for me before, but on checking for new files after updating to 1.10 it's crashing out saying it can't connect to the server.

        In my ignorance I posted a seperate thread elsewhere about this before seeing this one. I too am having issues with the auto-updater. Now I feel a little better about it, seeing as it's more than likely a server-side issue. Hopefully it is resolved soon.

          Bandwidth issues. I'm working on them. The files are there but bandwidth has been tapped (Sundren = more popular these days )

            Yeah I got the crash of the client updater..

            Perhaps I could toss some money towards the upgrades of sundren.. great place.

                No because you would be downloading a new one every other day and people are:

                #1 Never going to look that often
                #2 Flood the forum with posts asking how to use it and what to do and what version they need

                    Download our updater, under the options for the URL field enter this: http://www.retrosmack.com/sundren/pwc/

                    This is our new download location and it is much superior to the old one.
