  • Which player has done something *you* find admirable?

For this topic, please mention which player has acted in a way that made you go "zOMGlolboltbbqpwnsauce" with his/her rp. It does not have to be a consistent streak. Just drop a few lines of what the player did that made you feel a higher level of immersion.

TheHandsomeGamer and Scourn have been great people to play with.

It's been great playing with Scourn, as while we have a conflict of interests between Tes and Jaus, our other two characters, Rakaikus and "short-one" (forget the characters name) have been a good duo. Scourn has also helped me pick out some details and been fun to chat with OOCly, as well.

TheHandsomeGamer also has been great to me. Always giving a willing hand, if by character choice or his own, and calling to my character for participation has been very appreciated. Hans all the way!

Can't forget undeadsteak, either. Helped me with a few questions I had OOCly and helped me develop Rakaikus.

And the first person I roleplayed with on this server, and we still meet up on different characters, RXeD. Good guy, all around. Has answered the majority of my questions and helped me establish myself.

Blast-fact kudos all around, peoples! Thank you for all the help and much appreciation for all the help in the future!

GBX's NPC's n all. Gen'Deimos is uber! And he knows how to make somone think from the other side, pretty much an awesome guy who can seduce most people with the thought of power, while still remain polite about it, and not become a total jerk. As for OOCly, i pretty much talk to everyone and find it fun. Lyonette has been really fun to RP With as well (Before she died ). And I think Alyrian deserves praise, because hes just so awesomely evil.

Aside from our wonderful cast of DM PCs and NPCs, which are outstanding by definition...

Alyrian is such a wonderful portrait of an evil character who's believable, and tortured, and has goals and motivations, that I just want to huggle him. It's been fascinating just to watch the character change. As far as player specifics go, his style of RP is excellently immersive and loveable.

Myrddin, too, is always a wonderful character to watch and help immersion. It may be a little hard to understand the dialect, but I think it's all part of the charm. Rarely do you see a character that has such a clear sense of attachment and identity to a place in the Realms.

Tes, of course, is a joy to RP with, and I've seen the character change through a lot of different situations, including a complete change of patron deity which I thought was very well handled. It's a hallmark of the Realms that gods can and will change, as will alignments, and it's great to see something like that handled so well.

Rook, and all her player's characters, are invariably interesting people with goals and motivations that clearly exist, even if what they are isn't nearly so clear. I fondly remember an afternoon spent by Tamara conversing with a weasel familiar. Good stuff.

I'd also like to give a shout-out to all the dwarf, elf and hin players, among others, who've helped build a clear racial identity. Sometimes, this is seen as steriotyping, but I think it's great when elves are clearly elves and not humans with pointy ears, etc. And yes, I think a dwarf would name his axe. ^_^
Adama who was once called Adama Hrakness, sacred paw of Mielikki

Lihana Farrier, Paladin of Torm and noble dalliance

On Hold: Alandriel Ward, Actually a Vampire Groupie
Retired for Good: Tamryn Jorandur, Hano's Wife and Conflicted Soul

Hmm, lets see...GBX for playing Jesh and Lord Gen. Jeshy is a party animal and really fun to be around, just how she acts, and Tes thanks her for turning her into a drunk XD. Lord Gen really captures evil well. Hes very buisnessman like and a gentlemen but evil at the same time so thats really cool to see.

Tamara: Obvisouly shes really fun, and seems to be the only person that can get Tes to look happy and smile . After today, learning more background story on her, its really well thought out and detailed which was nice to read. Over all captuered personality of her is great shes very human but has the essence of shes on a mission about her. I have a blast at how I see Tes and Tam go through things that happen and grow as characters. Plus, looks like her twin

Rook was very well done as a character. Ive seen no one else portrays the nobility and properness like her. Even though sometimes people wanted to bonk her on the head XD, it was allways fun around her.

Im likeing how Brackus is so far and its very interesting. His manner is quite intreeging. I want to say more but I think hes only recently surfaced into the world so to speak so havent had much time to see.

Myrddin for typeing with that accent. Most of the time I dont know what hes saying but to do that and stick with it is really cool.

Jaus and Tes little verbal rival thing is interesting and amuseing.Reminds me of bickering wifes/husbands. Hard to understand him to XD but getting better. Again like Myrddin very commendable for sticking with the accent for a character. Rakaikus, even though only rped with that character once it was a very fun. Half orc bard, who uses his weapon to beat the giant drums strapped to his sides and bash heads in with, very unique concept.

A big thing that stands out to me is the people whos characters hate eachother, yet will have fun and good ooc talks in tells. Ive seen alot of "your character is mean and evil so i guess the player is" in the past. Allways been a big for me as I usually play evil types, haveing conversations and laughing with your enemys in tells shows the quality of the people and how good they are rping to me. This server has wonderous ammounts of people like this, so I thank everyone of them.
Sacrifice everything as the final darkness falls... in the end, all that awaits you is death. Only then will you understand - you've been following in my footsteps all along.
So come then, you heroes! Come in all your power and glory! For in the final hour, all must serve the one... true... king.

I would like to say thank you to Hans Summers, who really shined in yesterdays small event. He acted most paladin-like, and even tried to attack a tiefling that was so far out of his league that he may as well have killed himself. He also responded very well to inciting and egging, not falling into some less than paladin-like blaming or otherwise trying to absolve himself for it. Well done Hans.

Actually, I'd also like to throw in a thank you to Zelivean Tilmara, a great rper. Even though Undeadsteak is rather young, he/she really speaks well, and has a strong character concept that is consistent and well thought out. Thank you.

I have had great times with:
Hop Deeppockets as he is a very cheerful wee halfling that always laughs.. even when hes getting kicked around by hordes of goblins..

Ragnar, just all kinds of good stuff there from the Ambush in Virdale Forests (Me, Ragnar, Thain, and Dasheem Flatfoot) to the Orc Hold Diplomatic talks for peace.

Dasheem Flatfoot: He is a great little guy.. yet always finds him self getting stepped on by those bigger than him, or having a Gnoll charge him for a hug, yet we always drag him out of the frey and take care of him.

Then one night I met up with this Akryes guy.. a paladin of Iilmater, and from there it was basically a spanish inquistion of a mage (necromancer) and a false helmite who we encountered... They almost attacked us, but instead a few moments after they passed us by to tend to their dark arts in the caves, a pack of goblins ambushed them, striking down the Helmite Paladin, and almost killing the mage..
But I managed to heal him and the humiliation he had when he found out he would have to drag his fallen commrade back to the temples was great..

All in all great times playing with everyone on this server.. I could go on, but those are the regulars I find my self in a fellowship with...

              BTW--Im Drauius Clynius

Hehe... Thank you Drauius. I must admit, besides spending so much time with my face in the dirt, I had a blast on that raid last night. Everyone was very understanding and enjoyable. But not to turn this into a circle-jerk, I would have to agree with you. Ragnar(dwarf), Drauius, and Thain(dwarf) all earned a gold star in my book.

I can think of a few other instances while in the Sharanan Hills where I sat back from my PC and was amazed at the general potiteness and willingness to share (even elite drops from "bosses") without question. I didn't even have to ask. I like people who know that they aren't the only ones who appreciate a good drop every so often. Unfortunately, I bash my head on my desk for not remember ing their names. But you know who you are.

Well of course I find Tes and Tam and Zel as awesome characters for various reasons, and they all seem to be fleshed out enough and have their own motivations, goals, etc.! Though out of the three my personal favourite is. . . .Rook

Kudos to that awesome player(s) who made Rook >_>. Yep. Awesome job.

This is a tough question to answer, because I love soo many of the players It'd take me awhile to lay it out in person by person.

I guess I want to thank everyone who makes DMing for me enjoyable. It really helps when players put in that added spice and flavor with their characters to give me so much to work with as a DM. I definitely want to thank a certain Dwarf Female who runs around with a Boar named Pig Definitely a character that cracks me up every time she opens her mouth.

I'm also glad everyone enjoys my few NPCs I toss out ^_^ They only work because you guys help me to make them believable.

I was in Aquor last night.. and had horrible lag spikes... Ended up killing Ember, and Ragnar went MIA, Dash escaped the hugs of the bandits.. and I made it out alive. We had a mage with us (I think it was Taran) but that group had some good times as well.
Ive come to see that any group I meet, turns out to be very good..

But I wont forget Thain! the Peace-maker of Grimaxe Hold! hahaha good times.

I want to thank Thain, Daed and Uri for participating.

The lag was bad. We encountered multiple crashes and relogs.

DM Nyo did a fine job on that quest. However, I suspect some buggy game mechanics threw a nasty twist on the event. It appeared to be a classic "surrender to live" option, but the thugs attacked me when Thain crashed. I ran like hell and managed to just barely escape without being killed in the process. From there, some ineptness on my part added to the difficulty. The time was quite late. I failed to bite at a HUGE attempt at DM help from Nyssis. Heard some comment about her banging her head on the keyboard just before she had to turn in for sleep. I hope Nyssis does not have "FGHJK" imprinted on her forehead.

Tells were exchanged with Thain, speculating on the treatment of the group... with some references to Deliverance. Thain, by the time I get help, 2 out of 3 of you will be victimized. Look out Daed! Thain, you are next!

The thugs released the group to perform some nefarious task.

Somewhere around this time Thain had to log to sleep.

From there, Daed thought we were following him to discuss a plan of action, when he crashed hard on trasition, taking what seemed like an eternity to rejoin, while the situation degraded for the group. Uri the big orc was arguing with the guards, and killed one, while I tried to explain the past events.

Daed returned to utter chaos, then had to log to sleep.

Malaclypse stopped by, adding some witty comments and providing someone with whom I could exchange a comment or emote, while the group continued to argue with the guards. Finally, when the opportunity presented itself in the form of a cloud of darkness, I grabbed Uri and ran. OMG, we made it out alive! Uri and I stood at the crossroads shaking, amazed that we had excaped. The tension had been incredible; the relief, profound.

Apologies to DM Nyo and DM Nyssis for being so dense and cudos to DM Nyo for being able to bring the event to some reasonable conclusion. It was an enjoyable event and an excellent example of how you can make your own life hell without much effort. We can all laugh about it now.

Next time, I may try to get a few more letters on DM Nyssis' forehead.
