    Goblin vs Silas question..

    .. Goblin 1 : Silas 0

    My character was almost to the top of the main hill in the Sharahan(sp) Hills when a green magical bolt or sumsuch hit him, happened so fast i didnt even see what it was. Checked the log, it said Goblin Archer attacks and hits, but then Save vs. Death (DC18)... is this right? Had i just encountered a high level goblin that a high level char triggered but didnt kill, or... or was he killed by a trigger happy DM again? ... or was i PK'ed?.. or er what?

    Only level 4, so no worries on xp loss etc, just was puzzled by it.

        Loot system spawns great things on critters from time to time. If you kill them fast enough these loots often become your own. However, sometimes they get smart and use them against you

        In other words, he probably spawned with a scroll or something.

            It sounds like the goblin archer hit you with a poison arrow and you failed your save maybe?

            The goblins can sometimes hit you with nasty stuff.

              Aye.. I have been tryin to take on the Gnolls and such ( recently Level5) and somehow they basically kill me in one shot.. (45 Hp, 27 AC w/o Combat Expertise) So that makes me wonder how long I will be hunting the scourge of goblins..

              Though I must say there is a lot of RP to be had in the hills.. a lot of good memories there.

                If you have problems with the gnolls you need to be getting a better party. Most of Sundren's dungeons are designed to encourage party-play.
                The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

                  Yeah I have run through the forest now with 2 good parties.. and it makes a difference..
