Updater crashing

Hi folks.

Hate for my first post to be with a problem but I can't play yet as everytime I run the updater it crashes. At varying points of the download too so I can't tell if it's a file issue. Of course when I restart it, it also begins from scratch so as this is about the 6th attempt I'm getting a little frustrated. Any clues as to what my problem might be? Or is there manual download somewhere that I can use?

Form this description it sounds more like the updater is being acted upon by an outside software.

I'd definetly try disabling your virus scanner, otherwise please attach a screenshot of the error to your post.

Did the AV thing and quit all running programmes just in case it was memory issues. One, or both, of them turned out to be the charm, but I can't give you the screenshot for reference now.
