So, im just wondering. Your char needs to have a story behind how he/she learnt a language right? because yesterday i encountered a human speaking draconic and elven, and when i asked him how he knows theese languages, i got no response, but he wasnt afk. It seems strange when somebody just knows a language, seeing as no one is born knowing a language. Also, it would be strange seeing people speak infernal (or whatever demons speak) Without having a good rp reason. my char is currently trying to learn elven, and im planning on putting in one int point so i can learn it once im level 8, so it acutally has a roleplaying reason.

This is a new server... your going to have ALOT of players that will not even read these posts.. they are powerlevel hungry and will just want to get on an beat stuff up.
There are players who RP a little and just wanna beat stuff up.. These players , I assure you will be filtered out, this happens with new servers all the time. I've seen countless players on here that have no RP reason for anything . They run around the place for a bit and then just log off. You just have to say your peace and let it go unless something gets outta hand. The Dms and Administration will surely take care of it.. They are watching you!Current: Dae'Vesta, freaky female half-drow assassin

Also keep in mind that it would be perfectly IC for it to be "none of your damn business" why my character speaks undercommon, draconic, infernal, etc.
It's not like you run around advertising your nefarious background or evil tendencies because another person got curious and asked..
"Excuse me sir, but are you a child murdering rapist?"
"Why, yes actually... there's a funny story here someplace"
"Great, glad we cleared that up!"
I mean seriously, that is ridiculous.
I have read about 5-6 of your posts now, and I really didn't want to be confrontational but I can't help myself anymore. Seriously, for everyone's sake stop with the RP police and stop trying to instill your RP onto everyone else.
I have no doubt in my mind that I am an excellent RPer, I've grouped with you for a few hours, and even in game you spent more time complaining about the fact that another player kept saying "lol" or making smilies than you actually spent RPing your character.
If you have a problem with the way someone is playing their character then lodge a complaint with the DM's and STOP. If someone continually annoys you then find someplace else to be. But for the sake of everything holy don't harrass the person and ruin the RP for everyone around you because of it.
With that off my chest I will be taking my own advice and avoid your posts from now on, but since no one else has said anything (and I know I can't be the only one), just let the DM's do their jobs and DM - you do your job and play.Paerin Truthe

Problems will always catch our eye. This is a roleplaying server, and the attitude or desires of rampant players will not determine that. Just remember that you're roleplayers because of your patience, and good nature to other players.
Let us handle anyone doing otherwise. The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

I think it's a little unfair to say that he shouldn't bring up an issue on the forums because he's being a 'RP policer.' Eh, why have forums if you don't use them? I think folks would do well to remember that they should likely have a reason to have a language, even if they don't make it public, at least in my opinion, and I'm guessing his.
Eh, chill down, man.

I will say nothing beyond DM's are handelling issues as they arise and some have to deal with activities of players in RP scenarios. However, if you have an issue with the activities of others, we have a forum setup for people to post problems they have that remains anonymous from other users.
Please remember, not everyone is going to fit standards of RP that we lay down for them. My wife, for instance, is not very good at RP at all, but she struggles anway. And I think it might hurt her a bit if someone bit down on her and told her "There's no way you could possibly know draconic" When she didn't know any better.
So I ask that people be a bit more constructive with how they approach others and try not to be offended too greatly by things that may seem strange to veteran RP'ers.

In my particular case, the reasons are quite simple, and it is not a requirement that my character give you this information. In fact, he might simply give you a dirty look, smirk, and move on his way without speaking to you at all...
Aasimar - Celestial
Red Dragon Disciple - Draconian
Maleficus "Ravenor" Carnificis
"Dreams... such fertile ground for the seeds of torment. I can sense your ripeness and, oddly enough, it is time for the harvest. Please, save your tears... I intend to reap your sorrow slowly and have ages to discover the things that make you suffer... I am eager to revel in the sweet melody of your screams and the melancholy of your despair..."
Eldraxus Tzyvioq
Mystic Theurge (and Harper) of Deneir wandering the Sundered Valley in search of (and with the intention of mapping out) places of power, ley-line intersections, and other locations where the divine and arcane intersect...

Let me tell ya a story UndeadSteak, about a room-mate of mine thats pretty much the same way. Whenever he DMs, or plays, or has any 2-cents, he believes everything should have reason, be balanced, be checked, safe, fair, limited, and logical. He's a real buzz kill to be honest and is quit annoying (I dont even wanna mention playing "WhiteWolf" w/ im'). Anyways, he usually always wants logical explainations and such, and thats cool, I mean we always give im' one, but its just anal retentive and annoying. Its a friggin game Thomas, its not real life! Besides, if I've been crafting shields for umteen years, then damnit, my 15 in craft armory says I-Dont-Fail, so fek off an....oops, kinda went off there, sry.

Ok..thats enough of the bashing. If we DM's find something that goes against a players character and or/if someone breaks the rules, we will take appropiate actions.
Consider this thread locked.
Rogue Player: Ok, I'll tell you what. I'll give you one gold for every door you open here in Undermountain.
Fighter Player: Hmmm..you got yourself a deal
DM: *grins*
