    The Shadow is Thwarted

    A new evil has been uncovered in Sundren (and here we thought Bane was our biggest problem...) and that evil comes in the form of a Shadow Bane. Several adventurers followed the Shadow (previously disguised as a female gnome with an undead companion) and stopped him for the time being. The Harbinger of Justice made her presence known and awarded the adventurers for their dilligance and hard work...

          It wasn't intentional... You were, by far, the most effective member of the party. The addition of that +1 bow helped greatly I think... We should get together again, and take new screenshots... I snapped that at the last minute after I realized I had taken NO shots the entire time!!! _)(%_@!)#%_@#)% First day and no record of it?! How boneheaded could I be?

              Yeah I also only had the one unfortunately, and yes we should team up again. I had a great time.

                The Vampire Witch and the Shadow Lord

                Oh, and please don't forget about the she-vampire. We should have died here, remember? She was almost impossible to hurt, was casting firewalls all around when we tried to flee because she changed her mind and wanted a breakfast... And then, I had this inspiration... to use a scroll of Raise Dead on her with my Use Magic Device skill (rolled 18) and BAM! She opened her mouth to scream and fell into dust!

                I have reputation to keep, you know... *dusts his wizard robe*

                And because she died (for the best this time), it seems that we dragged the attention of her boss, a shadow lord of great importance. When we were looking for the destroyed vampire's hideout (that Porinor the weasel and Grigori found), we saw but a brief time the shadow of the departing vampire, and then we came near a pool of black water. We saw a huge hand going out the murk, and then Ssuruluk the shadow lord manifested himself before us. Since we didn't have any chance before him (Lore check 28), I tried to gain time by speaking with him. That was a lucky combo, because he withdrawed into the pool shortly after, sensing the presence of an angel. And then the Harbinger of Justice manifested herself before us, a woman of beauty, winged and armed.

                We did learn that the Harbinger was looking for Ssuruluk for some time now. Then she told us that we shall need to: "Train. Hard. Hide." To hone our skills until he returns... Because it seems that the shadow lord have a grudge against us, since we destroyed his agent on Sundren. I tried to negotiate her assistance in that, but for nothing, since she's too high a ideal to help us by command. But she told us that she will look upon this dreaded shadow lord for the time being. And then she disappeared in a flurry of lights.

                // And I want to thank DM Justice for this memorable quest we had, that was great! I'm already looking forward for the next quest! //

                (And btw, I had a few screenshots about all this quest, with some with Valen , but I don't know where to post them)
