I do not normally complain, but I am frustrated at the new Sundren. I have played twice now, with few players and the few that were on, all of them just ran by me without saying anything. There was nobody to party with and with the lag, I died four times...........yes, by the time the lag was over, I was dead. Add to this the paltry 12 to 20 xp per goblin, the goblin that kicks my ass everytime I try to fight it, that means it will probably take me four months just to make level 4. Now, will it get better when more people are on board, maybe, but I find it very frustrating to die from lag, to finally kill goblins that are hard as hell as level 3 and get very low xp, and then not get anything but maybe 100 xp for a night of playing.

If nobody is on the server or wants to party, then what is the option? I only get to play a couple times a week due to family and committments, so I can't just say, well, maybe tomorrow night.

I have stuck with Sundren through its problems, but the uber low magic and difficult areas make it too extreme, IMO. I am hoping that there will be some balance somewhere, because there isn't always a group of people to party with, so what do you do, just hang out and talk to yourself?

Anyway, this post is more from frustration than anything else. I remember the old Sundren where I could at least eak out a couple levels by myself if needed so that I could survive other areas or go to other areas where most of the people congregate, but lately, I just merely die.

Quests are coming soon, and if you're lagging, don't use WASD keys. This can lag the server.

To be honest, I've have had a completely different experience. There are more people ever to RP with, and I found the sessions more meaningful, although I suspect that might have something to do with a new character as well.

The XP rates are a bit low, in my opinion. I'm hoping a slight bump up might occur - I've heard the team is looking into that?

I hear crafting is going swimmingly too. That might fill the void of magical items?

We have no current plans to change anything about the XP system.

I find it is dependant on the time you log on. Sometimes there are a pile of players and sometimes not to many. Friday night there were quite a few and I joined on with a great party that went into the goblin caves. Saturday night, VERY early Sunday morning there was absolutely no one on but me...of course it was 3AM my time, 5AM EST, so it was sort of expected.

I have to apologize. I was very frustrated the other night and want to say that I still love Sundren, it is a game, and you guys are doing a great job with no pay.

I am sure things are going to get better as we go.

Quests are sitting on my table being tinkered with. They will be giving experience and rewards. I had to finish xp system before quest system which means low gains for awhile. When you do quests, coupled with kill experience you will see gains alot higher. However, we have to struggle with lower values for now. Trust me, everybody and their momma is on me to finish the system to perfection

I actually like the new xp system..the other was very frustrating if you played a lot. You either had to make five characters or only fight one day out of the week.

As for the wipe, if we didnt have it I probbally wouldnt be back. With all the older characters bugged for the xp rate it felt pointless to play and I really didnt feel like making up another story, as it takes me forever. I love to rp but sometimes I am tired from working all day and just want to bash some creatures.
                      Active Characters:
Tassafina Lightleaf - A little sneaky but not as sneaky as Ithil

                      Silivren Anar
                      Merka Gillina

                      Hideing outs:
Alyssa Swiftwing - Priestess of Yondalla
                      Ravenne Naur'Loki - Roar!

*Shrug.* The old was fine. You don't need to fight every day and kill monsters. You can RP you know. And the quests sound pretty sick.
