  • Remember, you can delete your own characters!

The Sundren menu is available when you right click on your character, there is an option to delete your character.

    Thanks.

And here i was pestering you about deleting my mistake character.

See, this is the wonderful coding this team is doing. Just takes them time.

So, after some mistakes with my original character, I deleted him. Sadly, when re-rolled, he reappeared in the same zone he was deleted in, Level One, sans gold, sans weapons; i.e. no opening cinematic or shipbound-adventures!

Should I simply wait for a server reset?

You named him the same as your old char, causing him to spawn at the same spot and the such...

That is because of the nwn database system. Your character may be deleted from the vault but the database still has data conscerning the character.

Actually it isn't. We use a MySQL Database. That said, the DB entries should be deleted when you delete your char, this may not be happening due to a serve caching issue. GBX will have to take a look at this.

I believe it is cached. I deleted an ECL I just had approved last night. I created another elf with the same name, first & last, this "new" character spawned exactly where the other left off. The deletion and recreation were over an hour apart.

                Deleting Unapproved Chars

How do I delete unapproved ECLs? They do not show up in the nifty oubliette they are banished to so I can't right click'm. Hmm? (scratching head)
