i got a similar issue, the first time i try logging on with a character nwn crashes, reboot the game and try again and it loads fine. it was kind of annoying when trying to delete obsolete characters. but atleast im able to get into the game eventually.
Okay. I've just reloaded my entire OS. Still no luck. By the way, anybody listening in, that's how righteous this PW is, that I would go to these extremes so as to play here .
Might there be a problem with Vista x64? Just this week I built a new computer, and loaded on it Vx64. A week before, I was able to create a character, and log on with no problem. At that time I was running Vista 32. Before I wipe my system just to make a toon, is there anyone else able to create, and get on with Vx64?
How, exactly, do you run the two different Vista OS's on one computer. At one time I was running WinXP. And it was easy making multiple partitions, and therefore have more than one OS. But all I have now is Vista (32 and 64), and I can't, for the life of me, find a way to make multiple partitions. And I draw the limit at hunting down, and buying WinXP just for this.
Now if I have to, I will wipe everything, load 32, make my toon, wipe, load 64 (need that to take advantage of the 4 gigs of ram. Can't do that with V32), and play that way. But what a pain!
