I'm curious to know how/if the Drow concept will vary from the first run. The first time Drow were played by far and large how they would behave when put under the situations that surround them, and people threw fits until Drow were disallowed.
Are the "new" Drow all going to be false or pseudo-Drow, who are not willing or capable to actually portray what a Drow is, or are the surrounding players and DM's going to look at this with an open mind toward the potential it is?
Previously it was like playing a dwarf that generated mass complaints any time he mentioned drinking, fighting, or mining....for the sake of everyone involved, I don't want to see anything like that again.Don't run...you'll only die tired.

I haves screenshots to prove that Nyssis is ready and capable of being a Drow Priestess. Ask Kaso, as well. He was suitably humiliated, I believe.Active
Reinamar Stormseeker - The bladestorm that must turn back the wind. Arkerym of The People, practitioner of the forgotten art, pariah.
Tyler Penleigh - Obligatory author insert, Red Blade Defender, sarcastic jerk, caring brother, loving fiancé, war criminal.
Retired/Dead
Eirimil Gaelazair (Dead)- Bitter. Caustic. Abrasive. Egocentric. Probably right. Found dead in the burned-out Viridale forest a few weeks after the survivors were able to sweep the area after the Bloodmaim offensive. Aside from his usual attire, an intricate music box was the only thing in his possession.

There are several people perfectly capable of playing "Evil" Drow. The question is: Is the server (and the population of the server) READY for them?Don't run...you'll only die tired.

I'm definately ready for a reintroduction of drow society to Sundren. This is an excellent roleplay opportunity that I would not like to see overlooked. However, I've noticed that some people that complain about them are the ones that believe the bad guys should always be destroyed, and they should always win the day. That sort of one-minded attitude is what prevents a fleshed conflict from reaching its full potential in a persistent world or otherwise.
I don't want people to become fed up with the so-called repetition that is drow simply because they can't win. I don't want people to take the easy way out of removing a conflict by thronging to the administrators until the complaints kill them. In order for a society like this to be on the server, people need to learn to be open-minded and accept defeat gracefully if it is presented to them.
Another predicament revolves around the fact that some expect drow to speak to them on the surface, or act tolerant if they are tolerant in kind. I cannot stress enough that true drow (read: not Drizzt) are not surfacer-loving, flower-frolicking elves that will stop to ask you where the nearest donation center is, or inquire about the sunny weather amidst their blindness. They're mean to everything that is not themselves or a spider.
Actually, ... they're mean to their kin, as well. Scratch that. Also?
?it is foolish to assume that you and the drow are on good terms simply because you're personified as "evil."Originally posted by nutranurse View Post...Well.. All the characters I play are evil... maybe the Drow are my friends?

I know I know, I am not that uninitiated in Faerun lore. Christ I know that even though I prefer the darker Gods, deeds, and well everything really, the Drow would be a serious hamper in any of my actions... and as far as any of my characters go that is a no-no...
Bring on the Drow!~Lyonette L'cyr (Rook)-- Deader than Malaclypse
~Megandlla Uyth 'Llar -- In a land Far Far away!
~Emilee Mistwalker -- A Female Sigrun? Pfft, far cooler--.... eh.... Hated!!
