Well I've been at it again... boiling my brain over an open camp fire 'till it comes up with groovy new ideas and in discussion with Kaither and Fury I came up with what I think is one that might get a few more people involved.
A problem we seem to be having here is that people don't know what plots are out there or how to get involved with them. They also don't know what has happened previously in those plots or which DM is running them so it is very difficult to actually get involved with anything.
Take my most recent example. I spent a week of asking around to find out who the Shesara plot was being run by. I don't think I should really have had to spend an entire week just asking an OOC question so I knew who to contact about a particular plot thread that I was interested in.
SO... The idea I would like to throw out there is that a new section be created on the boards locked so that only DMs can update it but anyone can view it. In that section the DMs have a topic for whatever plot they are running where they can write up a Bards eye view of what has hapened so far in that plot so that everyone knows who is running it and what has happened so far. That way when things start to happen people will instantly know what is going on and those who actively want to pursue a plot will be able to.
The reason I think it shuld be a new section is that it will make for ease of access. You won't have to go hunting around amoungst the numerous sections and topis to find out what the heck is going on.
I think that this will get far more people far more involved in plots that are out there.
