  • sig images?

uuh, sorry to be n00bish, but ive noticed people have images in their forum signature.. I have a banner i use on pretty much every forum i join, but when i try to add it in my sig, it says the file is too big.

I ask about it because my banner is only 140 pix high and 375 pix wide, and ive seen images in sigs that are alot bigger than that.

    Am i missing something?

Use an image hosting website to store the image, and then link to the image in your sig. Just use the insert image button, and copy and paste the link.

Photobucket.com is a good website for this.

ahh, i see what i was doing wrong now. The "use signature picture" under the text window confused me, i thought that was the only way to have images in the sig. I thought if i put the img code in the text window it wouldnt work. *rolls eyes at herself*

Heh, I like the sig, very emo-ish, but neat none the less. Did you make it yourself?

            My trouble with this

Grr i keep getting a message stating my Sig is too big (its 275 X 100 ) and bytewise not even more than 10kb....

I mean take a look, plain simple small and it's not letting me put it in...

            Help anyone?

hey dude, dont use the 'use signature image' bit, put the image link into the text window inside image tags

              eg.
              HTML Code:
              [IMG]http://www.imagehost.com/you/yourimage.jpg[/IMG]
