  • Two questions...

Two questions if anyone has the time? First, has the rest timer changed at all? My Bulls strength doesnt seem to last till my next rest anymore? (( Level 6 , extended))

and about the 'hidden' merchant in Sundren city trade tier, I flubed my converasion chance the first time I met him (( rolled a 1, even though i had diplomacy, figures)) Will there ever be a second chance to make that check? or is it perminate?

    Well thanks for your time!

      1) Level 6+ PCs are on a 20 minute rest timer. Your extended Bull's Strength lasts 12 minutes, if my math's right, leaving 8 minutes uncovered.

      2) Unless I'm mistaken, you can reengage that NPC after a server reset.

      3) Spontaneous Conversion is a standard game mechanic, and per the manual, Evil Clerics can convert any spell to an Inflict Wounds variant. I tested this moments ago, in a single player game and on Sundren, and had no issue with spell conversion. Double check your PC's alignment.

Dalon Arogard: It's this. *busts a move*
      Llew Hy: A strange compulsion...
Mirumoto Akagi: I suppose you can dance if you like, but you're leaving our friends behind, and they're not dancing.
Dalon Arogard: Then they're no friends of mine.

The conversation for that merchant is persistent. You get one shot unless you make another character. We can't let people just keep trying over and over. If he refuses you, he refuses you. Otherwise you will have to be of a particular profession to get him to sell to you.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

Just gotta add my applause for that. Nice to see some NPC interaction that has real consequences. The only PC I've had visit there has been refused as well. But it is appropriate for that character not to interact with such a fellow too.

If I'm not mistaken, by general D&D standards, you get to recheck stuff like that once per level. To show your "improvement" and bettering of yourself. That sucks for a char thats low level and fails it, but 10 levels later if they are a SUPER diplomat, they should be able to sway the person then with all the extra skill and "tricks of the trade" etc.

The thing you will find between Sundren and DnD standards is that they aren't the same.
