I was under the impression that the diamonds were sold by temples for 5k? It's been so long since I've really gone and dungeon crawled that I could be wrong, though.

yeah, think I saw them for 10k each and certain temples might still offer the free raise. i have a lvl 15 cleric who never needs to use the raise dead spell. and with the death penalty the way it is, the only time i can see a Resurrection/raise dead be used by a pc is if your buddy is an epic character with epic gear they don't want to loose. because you might as well just go buy that blue/green gear back if you lose it otherwise. maybe I'm missing something here but shouldn't a pc raising you be preferred over a temple or self raise?
