Question on RP Posts

I wanted to solicit opinion from the DMs concerning RP posts/forum activity and in-game XP.

I may be under the wrong impression and want to "air" this out so that everyone knows (or maybe it is just my ignorance) what to expect from their work on the forum.

Please know that I will continue to post my stories and upcoming RP I have planned for my Elven character, so the answers contained in this thread will not change what I am doing and have planned.

Question - is there an XP reward for forum posts and if so, what type of posts are rewarded?

If examples can be added for clarification it would be much appreciated.

I think there should only be XP rewards if the RP post contributes to development of overall story of the server or a faction. That's just my take on it

I used to write a few RP posts but they were just my own character's history and back-story, so I wouldn't expect any XP for that.
