  • Pardon my Dust - Wiki Work

I'm going to be consolidating information to the wiki that is scattered in various posts. For example, laws have not been placed in the wiki correctly and some information is missing/outdated.

If anyone knows of any wiki issues currently, please post them in replies here. I don't like forcing people to search all over the forums for information.

I think one of the big ones concerns the "Enemy of the State" thread be Foogoo, which outlines certain laws that are not clearly defined in the Wiki. e.g. All undead are considered Enemies of the State.

I did move that to the wiki. Keep in mind officials CAN make a case by case exception to individuals, we, as staff, didn't think we needed to put "Unless the emperor says so" on every law.

Also, some ordinances were moved to State laws versus local ordinances.

Addendum to Exception Clause (Which I thought was there somewhere but I can't find it):

        Duel of Honor

When an offense occurs between two individuals a party may demand satisfaction to save face or honor. Once a challenge has been laid, it is upon both parties to choose an arbiter of the duel and the rules of engagement. The Arbiter will select the field of combat, the time of combat, and ensure that both parties conduct themselves in fair combat. Those involved in a duel may contest using equal weaponry and honorable tactics.

Once a duel has begun it is unlawful to interrupt a duel until one party yields or one party submits from inability to continue combat. Punishment for interruption of a duel typically leads to recompense or compensation to those interrupted, imprisonment, public flogging, public humiliation, exile or when of a serious nature execution.

It is unlawful for combat to continue once an individual has yielded to the victor. Punishment for continued aggression is akin to assault.

          Removed from Laws:

          ==Militia Law Enforcement==
Groups like Corps de Grace have extended trust by the government, although they have no official standing of office.
That group is gone, so it makes no sense that it should have an entry.

            - Removed Regarding Drow
            - Added Terms and Definitions to clarify defined terms used in Sundren Law
            - Moved Vellik and Anderson Acts to Revoked Laws
            - Organized a few things in Laws
            - Added "Roleplaying a Paladin" to the Paladin class entry

Can I make a slight suggestion in the Paladin code?

Instead of "killing something good is an evil act," how about "killing something not-evil is an evil act"? I would think the slaughter of neutral parties would be frowned upon, as well.

I can't find the "Oversized Two-Weapon Fighting" feat on the wiki, in the Sundren-Custom feats list. Maybe I'm missing something!

That's because it is simply Monkey Grip used with two weapons.

The wizard class haven't had its HD and skill points increase updated. I'm not sure if the other classes from the same update are changed accordingly.

Are you only doing non-mechanical updates?

Actually, it's not. Oversized two weapon fighting allows the person with the feat to treat an off-hand medium weapon as if it were a light one. My ranger had it, so unless it got pulled it was likely just overlooked for the wiki.

I wish that were true. It's a neutral act technically. Otherwise killing your dinner in the woods would shift you to evil.

Clarification: Killing a nonevil sentient being is an act that should be considered for requiring atonement even if situation demands it. Since Helmites and Tormtar are pretty okay with atoning paladins and clerics who do such things in the line of duty, should be fine.

I'd have to agree with Satoshi and Jai. We're talking about people, not animals. Killing a guy who just happens to be walking along and minding his own business as a neutral NPC should count as evil.
