  • More bonus skill points. Yay!

So, I've been told I will be receiving 22 bonus skill points on my next level up due to Elves getting +2 Int.

This has me thinking what the heck I'm going to spend them on! I'd like to pick up a craft skill if possible but I'm undecided as to which one.

Craft: Leatherworking seems the most in-character thing for a Ranger to choose, but I suspect it might be horribly broken.

I've seen a lot of recipes for dragonhide stuff but never seen anything resembling dragonhides about. Also wyvern and umber hulk seem to have neither recipes nor hides anywhere to be found.

Are there any other items you can make that are worth using? (excluding Shadowsilk, which kinda sucks)

Yes, I realise my RP writing sucks. Just be thankful I keep it short

Draconic hides come from processing reptillian hides which in turn come from beating on poor neutral lizardmen.

I personally really like items made from frostfur which is derived from winter wolf pelts. The major beef I have with leatherworking is that many of the recipes are uneditable in terms of appearance. Which is ok, as at least the base items look good to start with.

Scroll cases and scabbards are sought after too, so you can turn a fair bit of profit as a crafter.

Do those items actually do anything though or are they just base items? I don't think anyone would use the Frostfur or Draconic hide boots unless its better than their +1/+2 dodge boots ><

Also, I think you can buy scroll cases now for like 100gp in the shops!

They are components for enchanting by players. For example, you need a leather worker to make draconic hide boots or belts in order to enchant.

At the moment, faction stores are vastly superior in terms of tier 3 gear vs player enchanted items. Though, there is still an argument to be made for diversity of items enchanted/crafted by players.

Well, thanks anyway! At least now I can make an informed decision. Perhaps woodworking is more useful to an archer...

Verified, Thaelis is correct. Now all we need is potion cases..

I think that the update included a lot of kits' updates to crafting, some of them actually about appearance design of some crafted items, that previously were unable to have custom made deaigns.

You're gonna make My'athvin look all awesome if you take it, at swordpoint if she has too. The trollskin leather looks kinda neat tbh.

I cant guarantee how many of them made it through the recent crafting troubles recently, though hopefully we'll be able to figure out what does and doesn't work for Kaeldorn's cursed crafting.

Other than that, I woulda commented earlier, but Kusco has it nailed, as far as I'm concerned.

                Cheers,
