I'd have to agree with Lugwy on that. Sometimes it is just nice to know that your character/presence is appreciated. You know what always did it for me? Seeing my name in the Kudos thread every once in a while. Kept me thinking 'Hey, at least I'm not the only one enjoying how much of a Dick I am..' +1 for me.

Others are supposed to enjoy it? I've been doing it wrong.

Everybody is appreciated. It just takes too long to list all the characters I RP with. I make use of the Kudos thread when I can or I'll bug the hell out of you with tells.

I never even look at the kudos thread. To me the greatest thing of rpotm was that you could get a custom appearance item done. If the aestethic crafting is made more accessible, then I wouldn't really miss it.

RPotM allowed for someone who was proven as a good role player to get to play something different. I.E. Warlock or some odd race. I think even I won it once, I don't remember. If I did and I forgot, I never got around to using it for my race/class unlock, but that's kind of moot at this point.

In the end, it was a popularity contest some times, and actually a viable way to see who the new good roleplayers were coming out. A lot of folk who won were actually new to the server, and were very valuable parts of our server when it came to role play.

I would like to see something akin to RPotM reinstated, but perhaps not as it was. With how much nicer looking the factions stores are, not just for stats but for the actual aesthetics of the items, the item remodel just isn't needed anymore.

That might work. Rewards would need to be scaled down abit from that though I think!
