Duncan will be MiA for reasons unknown to me yet as I've little justification to take him from the vale. Perhaps he was kidnapped by a roaming gang of gnome nomads? I don't know, but I as a player will be missing for a while as I'm moving to California. I leave on the thirty first and as a nwn2 fiend, I'm going to miss the shit out of all of you. I'll be back in 1-2 weeks

I do the Sacramento/Reno drive every weekend and can confirm. The fire is some miles from the actual freeway, but the smoke gets pretty bad (like driving through fog) depending on how the wind blows.

Good luck, and hopefully wherever you're moving is one of the places that is less on fire than the rest of the state.
