  • WARNING! Scroll case and storage chest do not mix!

If you put your scroll case in the storage chest you lose it and all its contents. Lost all of my precious scrolls that I'd been saving up since day 1

There is no "This item type cannot go in this container" message, your scroll case just disappears. You have been warned!

oh noes! I even helped build that collection! It's like losing all your pokemon cards on the bus!

I can't help but think that it's a bit like putting a bag of holding inside a bag of holding. According to my 3.0 DMG, you're lucky you just lost the scrollcase instead of say, an arm, your sanity or your relation to gravity ;-)

      *Speechless*

And yeah...bummer, but I'll get over it. I only had like 15? Scrolls in there, even if some of them were rare/hadn't committed to spellbook yet.

If this happened to a Mage who had just happened to have scribed a few copies of every spell in the game, I could imagine them smashing their computer. That'd be like 300,000+ stags gone...

Please note, this happens with ANY ITEM THAT HAS AN INTERNAL INVENTORY.

Please consider all containers to be Bags of Holding and/or Portable Holes and treat them accordingly. As far as I am aware, Losing all the stuff you had in it is the better outcome from combining it, as the worse involves server crashes.

As far as I know, this is also an Obsiderp, so I don't think it will be fixed easily, if at all.

I'm pretty sure thats the main reason behind all the crafting books being undropabble/untradable.

It's also the reason that containers and bags are very rare. Crashing, item loss and all sorts of general trouble crop up when they cross paths.

Simple guideline: Never, ever put containers into another container.
It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do a little - Do what you can.
