There's a location called Exigo Trading Post. Up the hill is the Exigo Trading House. The vendor in there will buy everything that has a value. Everything.

So check back often in case someone drops off a nice little swag.
But please, keep one thing in mind for me. What have you become when even nightmares fear you?

            Some Fighter Tips

            1. As has been said, Fighters are viable in Sundren. Yes, you read that correctly. They progress rapidly at the start, are a good choice for a new player, and are viable end-game.

            2. A custom Fighter class feat allows extra Dex bonus even in heavy armor. Read the class description in the wiki. This makes Two Weapon Fighting actually viable as a Fighter, but it is still more a lot more painful soloing than a Defensive build, as it should be.

            3. Plan your character. Fighter's aren't used to doing that, usually running out of useful feats long before level 20. Pick your stats to fit your style. Check the custom feats listed in the wiki. Lots of options there.

            4. Pure Fighter is arguably better than a Weaponmaster. The capstone feats are particularly tasty, but take a long time to reach.

            5. Stalwart Defender. Dwarven Defender retooled without race restriction. Plan your feats carefully, as it will be tight with the custom bonus AC feats. Dwarves should aim to take the Racial feats.

We're going to revisit that starter quest to scale back the difficulty and correct whatever is stopping the quest reward from firing.

We'll also review the other early quests to make sure they won't be too soon outleveled. By "we will," I mean today.

This information is technically in the Wiki, but it's probably obscure enough that a mention is warranted.

Sundren does not use PC Tools or the KEMO system for emotes. Instead, we use a .command system. Type a period / dot / . into your chat bar, and a dialogue box listing the various supported emotes as well as a few more neat things will appear.

Save when you're hit with a big EXP bomb. Make it a habit.

1am EST is the daily server reset, it's not a crash.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

The User CP here on the forums should be checked from time-to-time. Our forums have a Karma system (located on the top right-hand side of each and every post) where folks can leave positive or negative feedback, and these comments show in the User CP. In addition, Friend Requests also show there! User CP is also where profiles can be edited, signatures can be created, and faction groups can be joined.

                        Check it out!

The sheer amount of PVP startled me when I first got here. I was not really prepared to see fight after fight. I am clued in now, but I thought it should be mentioned to new people. I am not any kind if PVPer so I am having to learn the ropes so to speak. It is not bad, just confusing and different.

A large focus of the server is indeed the Black Hand vs anyone that pisses them off. That being said, PvP with permadeath as a consequence seems relatively rare.

Ever watch GI Joe? Imagine the Black Hand as Cobra Commander. The heroes always fight him off but never do any serious or lasting damage, and neither does Cobra when he gets the upper hand for a bit. Both sides just continually clash because that's what they're destined to do. And now I'm getting the image of Adeodatus as Cobra Commander and I love it.

You handled the PvP between Ilaria and Kendra well, that being said.

Keep an eye on your vitality. You're permanently dead once it reaches zero, unless you have an amulet of life saving--I meeeeeeeeeean, signus.

The higher levels have you losing more and regaining less per tick.

Tactically, what you say is true. Permadeath does happen, but is rare if you're sensible with your vitality, and the heroes and villains typically live to fight another day.

Strategically, permanent change does happen. The Black Hand have taken and lost Mirakus Post in the past, and have conquered the town of Sestra, with designs on further gains.

The great game of power and diplomacy carries on. There are a number of groups struggling for influence in Aquor, for example.
