But even then... 90k is a TON of cash, especially considering that there is no crafting in place... I guess that I got a LONG way to go!!!

Since a tithe is a periodic thing, that would only be the case if Soul's character went 0 -> 25k in a single blow.

wow! 90K? I have a little over 12k...but I just won 4K from the tournament :P This from playing over 2 months as well. Before we got gold for killing things I couldnt even afford potions or kits :P

I dont see why people have fun killing things worth 0xp...even for gold. I only kill things like that when they attack me on trips to see the sage.

I suggest two things:

Technical Script Thing: Apply the same script for XP to the gold, so, the player must have the same XP and gold when he kill a mob.

Roleplaying Thing: Insite the players to make donation to different places of Sundren and later reward them, like this:
PC: "Hello, Im Dwarfy and Im going to donate this 10.000 gold pieces to my dwarf brother of the Inmovable Objects to improve his Forging Equipment"
Later...
NPC: "Hello Dwarfy, thanks for the donation, now I must forge Mithril Armors and sell it to a good price. I give you a 50% of discount on the buy of the armor".
OR
NPC: "Hello Dwarfy. Why you still using this old piece of Iron? *angry*, give it to me!. [Improve the Full Plate Armor +0 to Full Plate Armor +1]

On this RP way the gold must have an active flow and don't overgrow the wealth of the character.

The problem with either of those setups is that first of all- some character's will not donate anything to anyone period. And second several times I myself have had to run through the goblin cave a few times for potion/medkit money. Since a fighter without potions and medkits is a dead fighter.

The system is a great system as long as it isn't abused- and those abusing the system should happen to run across a little goblin thief who runs past and steals several thousand stags. ;D

90k? O_o, I started playin this serv when it came out, and i think ive had only a max of 20k-30k, and gave a bit of it away.. I avoid killing things that give me 0xp unless im passin by or somehow finding myself fighting it because its trying to attack people.. And eternal, I think the monsters are Tough so no one takes them alone... But a few people manage to get around that.

I think it's more of a luck thing.

Kintarl has almost 10k gold, after spending like 5k, but it's purely because of luck. Every time I killed a bandit, it seemed like I got a green item. Some of the green items I found were quite good and sold for a lot. While my cleric is dirt poor and has more exp than Kintarl. :X

Which is why GBX is talking about the loot table nerf thing if the higher levels farm the lower creatures .. they have the chance to drop some really good items, and some higher levels are apparently abusing that.

Another set of abusers... using a merchant not from their faction... so I thought... about 50 Skeleton Chieftians should solve that.

.... After the short and bloody battle I simply asked them if they were going do it again, they said no...

You had about 5 people just sitting in the forest just pondering what the meaning of life was with the Guardian. Was one of the most interesting times I've had in awhile.

But yea... don't farm. It's nice to be carrying around more than 20k gp in your pack but lets be serious about this, farming isn't the answer. Lets get back on topic here.

Oh, that wasn't the farming group You guys just happened to get mixed up in a something I was trying to do to further something else. I think people got confused and thought they were in another event. Heheh.
