  • Flurry or Power Attack?

I'm building a crusader-type, full plate cleric who will wield a quarterstaff. I don't think I'll do any PRCs - potentially Master of Radiance - but will go up to level 9 spells.

I'm trying to decide if it's worth it to take one, or perhaps two, levels of monk. One level of monk gives me Flurry for the Qstaff. But as you know, Flurry and PA don't go together. And, PA leads to Divine Might.

    So here's my options:

    - One level of monk, take PA and Divine Might anyway
    - One level of monk, avoid PA entirely
    - Two levels of monk for Evasion and Deflect Arrows, take PA and Divine Might
    - Two levels of monk, avoid PA
    - No levels of monk, take PA and Divine Might

What's most useful down the road at high levels?

If your main source of damage is going to be from Brambles, Divine Favor, Burning Weapon, etc. I'd go with flurry.

Word... and, would you also invest two feats to get to Divine Might? What about two levels of monk vs. one?

      Thanks
