  • Encounters and Loot

Just like to leave some feedback on this as I don't think I have yet. The "new player experience" seems really good so far, having just played from level 3 to nearly 6.

The bandits in Sundren valley are no longer as ridiculously deadly, the sewers under Sundren city are much easier, I was able to solo with a fresh level 3 with Con 6 (yes folks, that means a whopping 6hp). Saw a lot of dead bodies but guess its noobs underestimating enemies/not using doorways etc to negate enemy numbers ><

Sharahan hills was likewise ok to solo as long as you are careful and don't let things mob you. The Spittle caves were too tough to solo at level 3 (as they should be), so I had to get help.

Viridale is again a slight step up, I was able to kill one or two at level 4 but the blues are more or less too tough, and I needed a party to clear the whole area.

A party of four 5th-7th level chars was able to survive and get decent (64-128 per kill) XP against Ogres, though at some risk.

The new items are neat. Useful potions and gear drops much more often than before, making you feel that you are getting some reward for your efforts. Loving it so far!

The only other thing I can add is that for higher levels the purple version of the Glacial Drake is a cool addition, shame it drops less treasure than the weaker baby Drake though!

I am happy to note the bosses have returned. Though sadly they do not drop the key needed to open their vaults. Please either make the chests pickable or add the keys to the bosses.

I think most of the spawns are pretty spot on. The ones that aren't offer their own unique challenges. I would like to see more traps and locks implemented at some point to add some value to sneakers.

The challenges do seem to favor fighters perhaps some more will save attacks from mobs would help balance things even more. The Spittle wardrummer used to cast hold person and that was scary and cool.

Working on the loot, but right now my focus is on mob strength.

Also, note that Mossclaw at its lowest is intended CR 5. If you are there at 4, great, but it is intended for levels 5 - 9. When you are fighting "at level," you earn 20 XP per white named kill while solo (XP is not my department, that's just the calculation).

I definitely will incorporate more spell casters as the levels get higher. Deliberately, everything below CR 10 is light on casting unless it's a blue named monster.

Purple drake shouldn't be spawning anymore, but I'll double check.

Looks a lot better mob wise. Any idea when the quests will be coming back? (just a ballpark; summer?)

I don't have any clue, sorry.
